The Engineering Manager Gas is responsible for safety, quality and successful completion of technical and civil assignments within gas projects of Liander. You draw up work plans, organize and coordinate the execution in outline and coordinate with all relevant parties, such as team, site and project managers. In addition, you provide functional and operational leadership to professionals involved (internal and external) at project sites.You will provide quality control of the work performed and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the established safety requirements, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Guidelines. You are responsible for the execution of (complex) work plans and the preparation and execution of switching and safety plans for work and maintenance in grids, networks, infrastructure and installations of Liander and/or third parties. The purpose of all this is to realize, modify or maintain installations and infrastructure.As Engineering Manager Gas at Liander, you will lead the construction and rehabilitation of gas networks and monitor progress, safety and quality. You are the link between customers, contractors and colleagues and ensure clear communication and expectation management.
- In addition, as a Superintendent, you will perform the following duties, among others:
- Prepare work properly and on time (inspections, work folder, materials, work plan);
- Correctly perform work in accordance with work plan & work instructions (supervises);
- Monitor timeliness, product quality and productivity of jobs;
- Ensure clear, complete and timely communication with all parties involved to ensure efficient, effective and safe execution and successful completion of the project;
- Hold start-up working meetings;
- Delivery of work to Operational Grid Management;
- Collecting missing data for the purpose of delivering implementation folders;
- Maintain supervision (VIAG) and compliance with CROW;
- Resolve incidents during execution.
Requirements
- Minimum MBO 4 level diploma
- VIAG certificate Work Manager WV LD nets is required as a minimum.
- Knowledge of safety aspects
- Demonstrated work experience in similar position.

Within GSU and GEU deadlines, all gas project work is completed within budget, in accordance with VIAG, CROW and Occupational Health and Safety guidelines, with an approved work plan submitted to the OIV'er no later than one week prior to start and independently supervising 1-2 contractor shifts.

Throughout the project, a streamlined process and clear communication with all parties involved will be ensured so that the work is completed efficiently, safely and on schedule.
