Who we are
The municipality of Haaksbergen has about 25,000 inhabitants. The community is active and dynamic. The municipality has a vast, 10,550 hectares, large outdoor area with a beautiful coulisse landscape and beautiful natural areas. Haaksbergen is located in the southeast corner of Twente (province of Overijssel) on the German border.
The ambition of the municipality of Haaksbergen is to become a future-proof, independent network municipality. This means that Haaksbergen is strongly committed to taking its own direction, with implementation at a distance as much as possible. The goal besides the statutory tasks is to realize the "Vision Haaksbergen 2030".
Assignment description / What you will do
We are looking for a Sports Policy Officer.
Haaksbergen municipality's social domain and liveability team ensures that Haaksbergen continues to develop in the areas of participation, inclusiveness, diversity, sports and culture.
Together with our residents and our network, we want to increase social cohesion by working with residents, entrepreneurs, civil society organizations, education and organizations in the fields of sports, culture and heritage. This to contribute to activation, recreation and relaxation to promote the physical and mental health of our residents. With a current local sports agreement and a compact cultural framework in the making, the framework for the coming years is set. Everyone should be able to participate, regardless of disability, age or financial situation. Besides the social contribution, sports and culture also contribute economically to Haaksbergen. Strengthening volunteering, basic skills, low literacy and adult education.

Your position as Sports Policy Officer includes the following duties:
