The municipality has a vast, 10,550 hectares, large outdoor area with a beautiful coulisse landscape and beautiful natural areas. Haaksbergen is located in the southeast corner of Twente (province of Overijssel) on the German border.
The municipality of Haaksbergen has the ambition to become a future-proof, independent network municipality. This means that Haaksbergen is strongly committed to having its own direction, with implementation at a distance as much as possible. The goal besides the statutory tasks is to realize the "Vision Haaksbergen 2030".

What will you do?
As Legal Advisor Physical Domain you are responsible for providing high quality legal advice and support in the field of environmental law within the municipality. You play an essential role in the policy development and decision-making process and contribute to a lawful and transparent execution of our tasks.
You are the second-line advisor in the field of physical domain and you handle, within this domain, the (higher) appeal procedures. You are a valuable sparring partner for the legal staff in the physical domain but also for the other colleagues within Legal Affairs. Your expertise and knowledge are invaluable in coordinating and advising on (internal) legal issues, decision-making, regulations and private law issues.
