Opdrachtomschrijving / Job desription
Become a member of a design and build team to develop and implement a Unified Communications solution for Secure Client. The main objective is to modernize the current IT and migrate the customer end-users to a new architecture. As engineer you will work with the other developers, each working on their specialism and integrate the solution and make it fit for purpose.

Werkzaamheden / Activities
You will be responsible for design and develop a solution which comply to the customers’ demands. For this design you bring your experience in IP Telephony in general and specific for on-prem solutions. This will you do together with specialists from the vendor, who resides commonly abroad.
For design decisions, you will be supported by our lead architect. It will be your task to convince him of the best options.
During the development phase, the paperwork needs to be supported by technical implementation on the development and test environment. This environment will be your sprout, and the place to integrate with your peers. This requires practical knowledge of CI-CD pipelines and virtualization techniques. As soon as functions are technically working, they will be brought to the testers in the team. The testers will torture your creation and come with findings or with cake. It is your task to solve those findings and bring the product to 100% within specifications.

You will support you colleague team members where you can, they will treat you the same!
As you have reached the 100% state, there is no time to rest. Either you will work on the next increment, or you will work on the documentation for the support organization.

• Responsible for designing the functionality of Basic Telephony and chat based on the requirements
• Description of the functional and non-functional requirements per technical node
• Feed the testers with information on test scripts and use cases
• Responsible for building and configuration of the functionality
• Development of installation scripts
• Documentation of the configurations
• Becomes member of Multidisciplinary Agile team
• Cooperate in testing and issue solving (together with the vendor)
• Write support documentation of your products and services

Kennis- en ervaringsaspecten / Knowledge and experience fields
Your experience will be complemented by training for the specific Avaya products, resulting in a certification. Other knowledge will be shared by the implementation partner from the vendors.
• Work & education level: HBO or MBO with lots of experience in IP-Telephony
• Knowledge of enhanced telephony functions
• Knowledge of telephony integrations with chat and conferencing
• Knowledge of specific program languages (Ansible, Puppet, Terraforms)

• Musts haves
o Certified and Experienced in the Avaya UC portfolio (Aura)
o Certified and Experienced in the Cisco UC portfolio (CCNA/CCNP Collaboration)
o Experienced with Chat and IP Telephony
o Experienced with numbering plans
