We are looking for an AI Technician for Airbus in Leiden. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, integration, testing, and verification of aerospace products and test configurations. You will work in accordance with technical documentation, procedures, and project requirements while ensuring the highest quality standards. You will report to the Team Leader Assembly & Integration and work closely with Senior AI Technicians and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing assembly and integration work on aerospace products and test configurations.
  • Performing technical work independently on flight and non-flight hardware.
  • Conducting verification and acceptance tests to ensure that products meet technical and quality requirements.
  • Supporting the development and testing of alternative technical solutions and implementing approved modifications.
  • Preparing and maintaining integration documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Contributing to the development of Handling Integration Procedures (HIPs).
  • Identifying, designing, developing, and manufacturing integration support tooling and equipment.
  • Preparing products for shipment and assisting with logistics activities as needed.
  • Providing on-site product support to customers as needed.
  • Creating documentation for verification and acceptance testing activities.
  • Preparing problem reports and providing guidance on modification methodologies.
  • Continuously identifying opportunities for process improvements and technical innovations within the AIT department.
  • Collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements
  • MBO Level 4 degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in assembly, integration, testing, or production within a high-tech or aerospace environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and documentation.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Experience with verification and testing activities is considered an asset.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Available 40 hours a week.
