Airbus Netherlands B.V. is looking for a Building & Facilities Manager for our Facilities Department in Leiden, the Netherlands. As part of our FD team, you will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment supporting our space activities. You will work closely with internal customers of installations and maintenance partners and report to the Head of Services.
Your challenges/tasks:
Your responsibilities are highly varied and essential to the continuity of our organization:
* Management and Maintenance: You will draw up an annual maintenance plan and ensure its timely execution.
* Installations, Buildings, and Grounds Management: You will be responsible for maintaining, replacing, and optimizing building-related installations, including maintaining and managing the conditions of our cleanrooms and production facilities.
* Contract Management: You monitor the execution of maintenance contracts and negotiate (new) agreements with suppliers within the contractual frameworks.
* Innovation & Consulting: You identify needs, translate these into proposals for the renewal or modification of products/services, draw up specifications based on customer requirements, assess the market, and provide advice during the selection phase.
* Project Coordination: You organize and coordinate small renovations and maintain the drawings.
* Compliance: You apply for municipal permits, ensure their renewal, and monitor their implementation. You ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations while maintaining a constant focus on safety.
* You are on call outside of working hours on a rotating basis in case of emergencies.
What do you bring to the table?
- Minimum MBO / HBO level of work and thinking.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge and skills in the facilities sector, specifically focused on building and installation management.
- You have experience with applying for permits, project-based work, and environmental legislation
- You are customer-focused and know how to translate internal needs into concrete solutions.
- You work in a results-oriented and efficient manner and have a keen eye for quality.
- You possess strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with colleagues, suppliers, and municipal authorities.
- You are a planner and organizer, capable of setting priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You possess expertise and stay up to date on relevant developments.
- You are resilient under pressure and can handle ad-hoc situations.
- You are willing to work on-call shifts outside regular working hours.
- You hold a valid Class B driver’s license.
