About the role

We are seeking a Work Preparer for the Industrialization & AIT department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that production and integration activities are prepared, planned, and executed efficiently.

You play a key role in coordinating resources, materials, documentation, and work instructions to ensure that projects can begin and proceed on schedule. In addition, you contribute to process optimization and support digital improvement initiatives within the department.

You will report directly to the Head of AIT or Head of Production and work closely with AIT Managers and Team Leaders.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Work Preparer, you will:

  • Create and maintain integrated production and project plans
  • Monitor work sequences, lead times, resource allocation, and facility usage
  • Adjust the plan when changes occur and communicate the impact to the relevant stakeholders
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement in planning and operational processes
  • Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure that the necessary materials, tools, equipment, and resources are available
  • Process inventory transfers to meet project requirements within the MRP system
  • Create purchase requests based on operational needs
  • Monitor and maintain KPI reporting
  • Perform second-level troubleshooting for machines and tools as needed
  • Review technical drawings and documentation
  • Prepare work instructions and procedures for assembly and testing activities
  • Create comprehensive work packages and manage project completion documentation
  • Prepare logistics and shipping-related documentation as needed

Your profile

You are highly organized, technically minded, and able to maintain a broad perspective in a dynamic production environment. You enjoy coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring operational excellence.

You bring:

  • HBO+ level of work and thinking
  • Experience in work preparation, production planning, manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical support role
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive attitude and a sense of ownership
  • Experience with SAP
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Fluency in English (required); Dutch is a plus
