As an Administrative Assistant for External Technicians, you will play a crucial supporting role within Alliander's Large Work Package production lines. You will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the smooth running of the onboarding process for the contractor's technicians and work supervisors. With your specialist knowledge and strong organizational skills, you will be the central point of contact for the onboarding process for contractors, the Production Lines, and the Technical Business School, and you will ensure that processes run according to plan and schedule. This concerns two hybrid positions for 32-40 hours per week. One position is for the West region, based in Amsterdam, and one position is for the East region, based in Duiven. You will make Alliander more organized.

The energy transition is impossible without you as an administrative assistant for External Technicians.

Demand for energy continues to grow, which means that Alliander is working hard to expand and improve the electricity grid. To achieve this major task, we work together with external technicians at contractors. As an External Administrative Assistant, you will help to fulfill the preconditions within this collaboration. You will support the operation by ensuring that the preconditions are fulfilled at both the administrative and process levels and act as the central point of contact for this. In this dynamic position, you will support the program managers within the GW (Large Work Packages) organizational unit. This will bring you into contact with contractors, the quartermaster, and the Technical Business School. You will monitor the progress and quality of your work and ensure that the processes for which you are responsible run smoothly. With your expertise, you will take ownership of the role and ensure good results, even when things do not go as expected. This is a new position. It is therefore important that you enjoy pioneering and are used to working independently. Of course, you will not be on your own, and we will work together to create the right setting.

We are creating the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. So you are working on:

  • Coordinating and executing support processes from the manual for onboarding and deploying external staff.
  • Supporting the intake of external technicians, the assessment, and the application for accounts and IT resources.
  • Taking care of related administrative tasks, such as requesting authorization and processing information in registers.
  • Unhappy flow follow-up: ensuring that processes continue even if outcomes or situations are different than expected
  • Central point of contact for production lines in case of questions, delays, or problems.
  • Coordination with Technical College for scheduling courses, training places, resits, etc. Coordinating training courses to be followed by external parties.
  • Point of contact for communication with the technical vocational school regarding training and guidance on relevant topics.
  • Receives support from a quartermaster in difficult cases and process questions.
  • Has direct contact with the contractor regarding the processes and necessary administration. Follows up with the contractor where necessary.

You just make it more energetic

Working on an organization that is future-proof. You do that using your own strengths and talents. And you do that with us. Can you contribute to this with your surprising perspectives? And can you supplement this with:

  • Vocational education/higher vocational education working and thinking level
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with technology/network administration is an advantage.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite, including Excel
  • You have good communication skills, work in a structured and careful manner, and are able to maintain a good overview.
  • You are good at stakeholder management.
  • Proactive and results-oriented attitude, where you do not hesitate to monitor deadlines and hold others accountable for their actions and responsibilities in a timely manner.
