Your energy

As Administrative Secretary, you—together with your colleagues in the administrative secretariat—serve as a stabilizing force within the employee participation system. You support the works council and its committees in terms of content, process, and organization, and actively contribute to a professional and effective employee participation system.

You monitor the quality and progress of advisory and approval processes, support executives and employee representative body members with complex issues, and ensure that legal frameworks are applied correctly. Thanks to your knowledge, organizational sensitivity, and ability to build relationships, you are a valued sparring partner and go-to resource for all parties involved.

Your duties include:

  • Preparing, organizing, and facilitating meetings of the works council and its committees.

  • Managing internal communications regarding employee participation.
  • Contribute to the continued professionalization of the administrative secretariat and employee participation at Alliander.

Your team

You will be working within the administrative secretariat of the Labor Relations team, which is part of the Compensation & Benefits department. It is a professional and dedicated team where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development are key priorities. In this environment, you will have plenty of opportunity to work independently and actively contribute ideas for improvements.

You really make it complete

You are an independent professional who maintains a broad perspective, easily balances different priorities, and feels at home in an administrative environment. You combine subject matter expertise with strong organizational skills and have a natural ability to engage people in processes.

Furthermore, you bring:

  • HBO working and thinking level.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience as an Administrative Secretary, Board Secretary, or in a similar position.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Works Councils Act (WOR) and employee participation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in facilitating administrative and/or employee participation processes.
  • Strong consulting skills and an understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • A precise, proactive, and results-oriented work style.
  • Organizational sensitivity, the ability to build connections, and persuasiveness.
