Do you want to make a difference in the energy transition? The demand to get off the gas faster and with it the demand for more electricity is urgent. Liander must invest at least €1.2 billion annually in the electricity networks to facilitate the energy transition. As Asset Project Manager of an own region you will ensure that we have a grip on the most important programs & projects to be executed and you will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting the most important (large) projects in order to realize the right projects according to the (quality) frameworks as much as possible. You will also be responsible for commissioning medium voltage projects to Large Work Packages.

You work in the triangle between Customer&Design (grid architect), Major Work Packages (project manager) and AssetProjectManagement on the work package focusing on the medium voltage domain. You are the point of contact (spider in the web) from the asset management responsibility for, among others, program/project managers from the realization chains.
You will coordinate with your colleagues who issue orders for the high-voltage domain and work closely with the Region Tactical Asset Manager in realizing/adjusting the portfolio in your region. Working together and switching between employees from various organizational units with different views is right up your alley.

Using milestone management, you ensure an increase in the quality of work performed, more realistic schedules and increase financial predictability and reliability. You also enjoy identifying improvements in projects and implementing them within other business units.

This is how you work on the energy infrastructures of today and tomorrow:
With your overview, insight and technical knowledge in the field of electricity, you will ensure the realization of large, important projects that make a maximum contribution to Alliander's strategic objectives. Since gas activities may also occur during the construction of these routes, it is nice if you can quickly master knowledge and skills in this area as well.

- You will prepare and issue medium voltage assignments to Major Work Packages or Major Consumption and Reconstruction and Networks and review study requests, studies, investment proposals and implementation designs for feasibility, time, quality, money and application of standards.
- You determine (in consultation with colleagues within the e2e realization chains) the priorities between projects, within the established Rolling Plan and annual plan, based on the impact of choices and ensure that stakeholders know them in order to achieve maximum flow in the chain.
- You will monitor key projects, report on progress and drive improvements.
- You will provide the necessary financial and qualitative reviews from Asset Management responsibility at the agreed times in the delivery process and prepare requests for changes for major projects where necessary.
- You pick up (more complex) files and escalations on projects/assignments/cases and bring them to a concrete result in a timely and independent manner. You are the escalation point for realization chains at the project level.
- Initiates and implements improvements in the Integrated Net Planning process from the goal of improved process flow on major projects

The projects vary in size from 1 mio to 25 mio and ensure that the medium-voltage domain in the provinces in our supply area is future-proofed. So you are really working on the foundation of our medium-voltage grid. A number of sample projects are:
- Grid expansion 20kV Groenlo: 7 mio.
- Grid expansion 20kV Bemmel: 23.5 mio.
- Grid expansion 10kV Wijchen: 25 mio.

Who are we looking for?
You are the person who ensures that Alliander mitigates the right risks as far as possible. You are accurate and decisive and get energy from working together with stakeholders from other organizational units to steer a predictable and maximum realization of the right project for the lowest social costs through maximum flow in the chain. You also like to handle project escalations well and on time and to take decisions with often large social and financial interests. You are an example in the way of working for your colleagues, can work independently and dare to take the initiative to change, how things can be done, and thus continuously improve.

Furthermore, you bring:
- HBO working and thinking level;
- Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in similar position;
- Knowledge of developments in the energy market.

Your team
As Asset Project Manager of Large Work Packages you will work intensively with your fellow Asset Project Managers in the high voltage domain and Cost Managers to exchange knowledge and experience about your own region and to improve processes. You also work a lot with the Region Tactical Asset Managers in relation to the right focus of the main projects in the portfolio. From the asset management responsibility you are the point of contact (spider in the web) for among others project leaders/managers from the realization chains.
You are part of the Asset Investment Management department. The colleagues work both nationally and regionally. We have offices in several cities like Amsterdam, Leeuwarden, Apeldoorn and Arnhem. You report to the team manager Asset Projects.
