Business Analyst Customer

At Alliander, we are working hard to shape the energy transition and are on the eve of a radical system transformation. With the Fit4Future program, we are taking a major step towards a new, robust system landscape. Outdated systems are being phased out step by step and replaced by a future-proof solution. The Customer department faces a major challenge: we must ensure that our operational (customer) processes are seamlessly integrated into the new system, while remaining capable of shaping the energy transition.

That is why we are looking for a Business Analyst who works in a data-driven manner on these two major tasks by connecting information and processes. You will do this from a 'how can we make it work' mindset.
As a Business Analyst, you will not only analyze data and processes, but also ensure that improvements are realized. You will work in the Public Domain Customer Management team for the Customer department, which serves large business customers. The solution to achieving change often lies elsewhere in the organization. You therefore move easily through the organization and engage the right IT teams or chain partners to realize the change.

We are creating the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as a Business Analyst, you will be working on this. Your tasks will include:
  • Analyzing and advising: You analyze complex datasets in relation to the processes, in collaboration with our reporting departments or specialists. You advise the operation, the MT, or other relevant stakeholders, both when asked and on your own initiative.
  • Translating strategy into implementation: You ensure that data and IT solutions meet the real needs of the business. This could involve improving asset registration or creating a uniform customer profile. You do this independently, or just as easily collaborate on projects or programs.
  • Identifying opportunities: You make proposals for process improvements or improvements in data quality. You substantiate these with solid business cases.
  • Answering questions from teams, departments, or chain partners, processes, and projects, including our finance department. You provide the insights they need.
  • Actively working to improve data quality, with a focus on optimal customer service and cost-efficient processes.
Working on solutions for the energy transition and ensuring a future-proof IT landscape is something you do using your own strengths and talents. And you do that with us. You don't wait around, you show courage, you anticipate, you seek out and spot opportunities, you identify bottlenecks and you act on them. Do you contribute to this with your commitment and do you take the initiative to make suggestions for improvement? Great! Especially if you supplement this with:
  • minimum higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking
  • At least 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • experience in analyzing (data) issues and improving business processes
  • Experience with e.g. Power BI, SQL, Python, and Analytics
  • Flexibility, because plans can change and you can easily adapt without losing sight of the goal.
  • Connective ability: you achieve the most with the good relationships you have built up.
  • Knowledge of SAFe or similar agile frameworks is an advantage.
  • Customer focus: you understand that everything we do has an impact on our customers, and you act accordingly.
  • Characteristics: proactive, communicative, and critical
