The energy transition needs you as a CIAM DevOps Engineer
As a CIAM DevOps Engineer at Alliander, you are primarily responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and quality of our CIAM service. This includes maintaining and technically managing the CIAM solution through incident resolution, implementing changes, patches, and upgrades, as well as providing support to users and facilitating the transition to a future-proof CIAM platform within the context of Alliander’s energy transition. We are creating the energy grid of the future, for everyone, with everyone. And as a DevOps Engineer, you can play your part in this. Your role will involve:
Monitoring the stability, availability, quality, and continuity of the CIAM service, including incident resolution.
Managing (both functionally and technically) the CIAM solution, including implementing changes, patches, and upgrades.
Providing support to users of the CIAM service.
Further developing the CIAM service and providing guidance on the transition to a platform service.
Collaborating with teams and project members within the IAM program and ART IAM.
You complete our network
Did you know that Alliander is made up of different business units? With our large team of talented professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of people and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with a focus on the people who rely on us: our customers. And thanks to our talented team, we have the utmost confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we make the energy transition possible, for and with our customers. You will be working at our Alliander business unit.
The drive to explore new possibilities starts with the right motivation. That’s why we offer an inspiring work environment that energizes you every day. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be part of the ART IAM, where you’ll help build and manage a future-proof CIAM platform as a shared service across Alliander.
You will also contribute to the IAM program by providing guidance on the transition to this new platform. This gives you the opportunity to help shape the direction of the solution and contribute to building the team. You will work closely with colleagues such as Project Leads, Architects, and Product Managers.
Our Access Management & Directories team consists of seven enthusiastic members, supported by a Product Owner and a Scrum Master. Together, we develop secure and reliable access solutions for all Alliander employees.
Every Monday, we work together from the Parktoren next to Arnhem Central Station—our dedicated day for collaboration, alignment, and innovation.
We are looking for a new colleague to join our team and help us further develop our IAM infrastructure.
You energize our network
Building an organization that is future-proof. With your talent and strengths, you can help make that happen at our company. Will you contribute your innovative solutions? We are specifically looking for a candidate with:
A completed, relevant bachelor's or master's degree.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience with CIAM methodologies and use cases such as registration, identity verification, consent management, and delegated administration.
Knowledge of protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
Knowledge of Microsoft Entra or SAP CDC/ISU/MCF.
Customer focus comes naturally to you. You understand that everything we do ultimately affects our customers, and you act accordingly.
