As a Structural Engineer within the high voltage lines team you fulfill a crucial role when it comes to structural calculations required for the structures and foundations of substations and the high voltage pylons installed by Qirion. You are technically responsible for this specialized part of our projects. Your goal is to ensure that we build substations and high-voltage lines at the lowest possible social cost. Thus, you will be busy with the: 

• Performing structural calculations 

• Reviewing third-party construction calculations 

• Directing internal draftsmen and external design firms 

• Create and review construction schedules and executive budgets 

• Quality controls during construction 

• Contributing to and attending project team meetings 

• Securing technical project quality and sharing knowledge with peers 

You will be working in the Lines team of Qirion Engineering. This team consists of (high voltage) lines engineers, lead engineers, (3D) draftsmen and constructors. Within the team you will work closely with the 8 line engineers, with a variety of different disciplines. Together with your fellow engineers you look for the best possible solutions, from building structures to high-voltage pylons. But your colleagues from the engineering department will also regularly use your specific knowledge.

The location for this position is Duiven, but we work hybrid, so we make sure to be in an office at least twice a week to work together and learn from each other. The other days we work from home or at a project location where you are currently working on a project.  

Job requirements are: 

• At least a completed technical college degree in structural or civil engineering (with a focus on construction)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position; 

• Recognition as a Registered Structural Engineer is a plus; 

• Knowledge of CGF-1 and European standards (Eurocodes) in Dutch practice is a plus; 

• Experience with design programs such as Dlubal RFEM or Technosoft; 

• Analytical ability and good knowledge of construction execution methodologies.
