As a Quality Consultant at Alliander, you’ll work on structurally improving and ensuring quality within an organization that has a significant social impact. You’ll help our business units organize quality and ensure it’s effectively implemented in their daily operations. You’ll do this in a tactical advisory role, drawing on a solid foundation in quality management and process control. This is a position for 32–40 hours per week, based in Duiven. You’ll help make the grid safer at Alliander.
The energy transition is impossible without you as a Quality Consultant
The energy transition requires reliable processes, predictable performance, and continuous improvement. As a Quality Consultant, you will support and advise organizational units in improving their quality maturity. You will operate at the tactical level, bridging the gap between policy and implementation, and help teams and managers to sustainably embed quality principles into their way of working.
Responsibility for quality lies with the operations team; your role is to support, advise, and guide them. In this way, you ensure that processes, roles, and agreements are structured in a way that consistently guarantees quality.
We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. Here’s what you’ll be working on:
guiding and coaching organizational units in conducting measurements and maturity analyses in the areas of quality and process control;
provide advice on how to translate these analyses into concrete, practical improvement measures that are suited to the realities of a technically complex environment;
provide advice on the design, operation, and further development of quality management systems (such as ISO 9001), with a focus on effectiveness and compliance;
support the implementation and embedding of improvements so that they become a sustainable part of processes and work methods;
connecting different organizational units to promote cohesion, mutual learning, and consistency in quality;
serve as a sounding board for managers on quality, process control, and continuous improvement.
Although Duiven is your official place of employment, in practice you’ll work flexibly and in a hybrid setting. You’ll divide your time between working from home, our offices in Duiven and Arnhem, and—depending on your responsibilities—other locations throughout the country.
You're the perfect fit for Alliander
Did you know that Alliander is made up of various companies that work together to build a reliable and future-proof energy grid? With a large team of professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of residents and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with the people who count on us in mind: our customers. And thanks to our talented team, we have complete confidence in the Netherlands’ energy future. Together with you, we’re making the energy transition possible—for and with our customers.
You’ll be working in the Safety, Environment, and Quality (VMK) department, where you’ll collaborate with safety experts, other quality consultants, and business partners. This department is made up of dedicated and honest colleagues. Every day, our 130 colleagues work tirelessly to ensure the energy transition is carried out safely and effectively, from operations all the way up to policy.
You make it even more energetic
Building an organization that’s ready for the future. You do that by drawing on your own strengths and talents. And you do that with us. Can you contribute to this with your critical perspective? Great—especially if you can complement that with:
At least a higher vocational education (HBO) level of work and thinking, preferably in the field of business administration, engineering, or quality management;
At least three years of verifiable experience in a tactical advisory or consulting role in the field of quality or QHSE, preferably within a complex organization;
demonstrable knowledge and experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, and their practical application;
experience with process improvement and quality improvement in a technical, industrial, or infrastructure context;
the ability to translate analyses and data into clear recommendations and practical improvements;
Strong communication skills: You can effectively interact with various stakeholders, from subject matter experts to managers;
For you, a customer-first approach comes naturally. You understand that everything we do ultimately affects our customers, and you act accordingly.
Organized Just a Little Better for You
For that, you get based on a 40-hour work week:
A salary ranging from €4,672 to €7,737 gross per month (pay grade 9 or 10, depending on experience level).
An annual individual choice budget (IKB) of 18% (full-time) or 12.8% (part-time) of your gross annual salary. This includes an 8% vacation allowance. You can choose to have this amount paid out, or you can use it to purchase additional days off, for example. You decide what works best for you.
24.5 vacation days per year, liberally supplementable from your IKB.
A year-end bonus in December equal to 6% of your annual salary.
Every year, you receive a DI budget of €700 for your long-term employability. For example, you can use it to cover the costs of your sport or hobby, make your home more sustainable and eco-friendly, or reduce your student loan debt with DUO. You decide how to use your budget.
Paid parental leave. That makes sense, because by law, you’re entitled to a total of 9 weeks at 70% of your salary during your child’s first year of life. After that, it’s unpaid. We do things differently. We continue to pay 70% of the minimum wage for your entire leave period. Immediately after the birth of your child, we make things even better for partners. You can supplement your statutory birth leave, allowing you to stay home even longer while continuing to receive full pay.
