We are looking for a senior candidate, who has extensive experience as a strategic communications consultant. Someone who stands firmly on their feet and can switch well between different layers within the organization. The candidate will join a team consisting of 18 senior advisors with different areas of expertise in marketing and communications. There will be a lot of switching with organization part large work packages and the other business partners.

Business partner/Strategic Communications Advisor

Grid operators are working on the biggest rebuild of our energy system. The Business partner/ Strategic Communications Advisor we are looking for is focused on that rebuild. That means getting to work on topics such as the neighborhood approach where we work on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis, collaboration with contractors and environmental communication. Always with our clients in mind.

By 2030 we want to lay no less than 44,000 kilometers of cable, which is literally around the world. The strategic communications consultant we are looking for provides direction and works with us to work out the communications issues.

The work consists of two parts:

• Business partner for Liander's Large Work Packages organizational unit and chain. They are building the power grid of the future. The business partner is a real spider in the web in the relationship between the component/chain (and their communications team) and the Marketing & Communications staff department. Resulting in concrete improvements and communication tools.
• In addition, this consultant takes the lead in the Marketing & Communications department when it comes to Liander's construction task: making the large-scale expansion of the grid visible in content, campaigns and media. Naturally in collaboration with content specialists, agencies and spokespersons.

We are looking for a senior communications consultant with a high degree of independence and excellent coaching and consulting skills. Someone with guts who can both stay the course and be flexible in what is needed for results. The candidate we are looking for is strong in converting complex matters into clear plans and can create well in addition to advising.

We ask:

• HBO/WO working and thinking level, towards communication;
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a senior consulting role;
• Experience in a complex politically sensitive environment with complicated issues and many different interests;
• Knowledge of reputation management, stakeholder management and environmental communication;
• The competencies analytical, solution-oriented, customer-oriented, reliable, conviction and perseverance;
• Experience in the construction, grid management or infrastructure industry is a plus.
