Corporate Recruiter for Young Talent

Are you a recruiter who gets energized by connecting young talent with a nonprofit organization? Do you know how to reach and inspire Generations Y and Z? Then this is your chance to play a key role in attracting the talent that will help build the energy grid of the future.

As a Young Talent Recruiter, you—together with your colleagues—are responsible for developing, implementing, and further expanding our young talent strategy. You build lasting relationships with colleges, universities, educational institutions, and student associations, and are able to attract talent from diverse backgrounds to Alliander. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to an inclusive and diverse organization.

You are responsible for recruiting our Finance, IT, Engineering, and Management Trainees and for creating a positive candidate experience throughout the entire candidate journey. With your enthusiasm, creativity, and knowledge of the target audience, you ensure that young talent chooses Alliander.

What will you do?

In this multifaceted role, your responsibilities will include, among other things:

  • Developing and implementing the campus recruitment strategy, with a particular focus on expanding entry-level opportunities beyond the traineeship.
  • The entire recruitment and selection process for 32 associate degree and bachelor’s degree trainees annually in Finance, IT, Engineering, and Management—from job postings and interviews to assessments, terms of employment, and contracts.
  • Actively sourcing and reaching out to entry-level candidates, trainees, interns, and work-study students through channels such as talent pools, referral campaigns, and job market communications.
  • Organizing and participating in campus and recruitment events to raise Alliander’s profile among young talent.
  • Utilizing online recruitment channels, following up on leads, and continuously improving our recruitment approach.
  • Maintaining and expanding a strong network with educational institutions and other external partners.

You’ll be joining the Young Talent team, which consists of four enthusiastic colleagues. You’ll also be part of the Recruitment team, which comprises about 65 professionals. Together, you’ll work to attract talent that contributes to the energy transition.

We have a hybrid work model. To maintain strong collaboration and connection, we work together in the office at least two days a week: on Tuesdays in Arnhem and on Thursdays in Duiven.

In addition, you’ll bring the following:

You’re an energetic recruiter who easily builds relationships and spots opportunities to bring talent to Alliander. You switch effortlessly between strategy and execution and feel right at home in a dynamic environment.

  • HBO-level work and thinking skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a recruiter, preferably with young talent or campus recruitment (the latter is a must).
  • Experience with stakeholder management and building sustainable partnerships.
  • Experience in recruiting a diverse target audience and building inclusive talent pools.
  • A proactive, pragmatic, and resilient work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Customer focus is in your DNA. You understand that everything we do ultimately contributes to a reliable energy grid for millions of Dutch people, and you carry that responsibility with you in your work.
