The energy transition is impossible without you as a Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer

The energy transition requires a digital landscape that is secure, stable, and future-proof. As a Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll ensure that security solutions integrate seamlessly with our infrastructure and actually work in practice. You’ll bridge the gap between architecture, engineering, and operations, enabling digital teams to develop and operate securely and allowing security teams to perform their work optimally. You’ll work with complex IT environments where security, automation, and integration converge.

We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as a Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be part of this effort. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Technical configuration, integration, and further development of security platforms for SIEM, SOAR, log management, and threat intelligence.
  • Managing and maintaining business...Designing, implementing and integrating technical product architectures for security products and platforms, optimizing deployments where possible using Infrastructure-as-Code.Mission-critical security products and services.
  • Integrating and automating technical management and integrations between security solutions, to support incident response and security processes.
  • Translate a project or problem into concrete solutions, including corresponding user stories and a schedule.
You’ll help make the grid even better at Alliander

Did you know that Alliander consists of several companies that work together to build a reliable and future-proof energy grid? With a large team of professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of residents and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with an eye toward the people who count on us: our customers. And thanks to our talented team, we have complete confidence in the Netherlands’ energy future. Together with you, we’re making the energy transition possible—for and with our customers.

And you’ll be doing that at Technical Platforms. The drive to discover what’s possible is only possible if you have enough energy. And the right work environment gives you that. The ART Cloud Services & Hosting department consists of smart and dedicated specialists. Within this environment, you’ll work on the infrastructure that enables digitalization and deliver stable and secure services that teams can rely on. At Alliander, AI is an integral part of how we work, and we actively use it to work smarter.

You’ll make the grid more energetic

Working with the latest technologies and innovations—you’ll do this by leveraging your own strengths and talents. And you’ll do it with us. Will you contribute to this with your critical perspective? And will you also bring the following to the table:
  • HBO-level work and thinking skills with experience in complex IT infrastructures
  • Knowledge of networks and zoning within a security context
  • Experience with designing, implementing, integrating and managing technical infrastructure and security solutions.
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation to support incident response is a plus.
  • An interest in the technical design and integration of security products and platforms, such as SIEM, XDR, and SOAR, to support threat management and incident response.
  • Experience with on-premises infrastructures; this is the primary focus of the role. Knowledge of cloud environments is also relevant.
  • You have a true AI mindset: you're already using AI to accelerate your work
