Data Steward - Data Analytics Prof A / Scale 7
Construction: temporary-permanent, permanent position after 1 year if performance is satisfactory
Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Maximum rate: €75, including MSP fee
Work location: Duiven (after training period, hybrid, 2 days at home and 3 days at the office)
Start: March 2, 2026

Introduction

As a proactive Data Steward, you will work in a dynamic, innovative team with a strong focus on stability, sustainability, and growth. You will be energized by contributing to the timely processing and delivery of our asset data, and you will be eager to put your previous experience to good use with us! This is a 32-40 hour position, in which you will mainly work in Duiven, partly online, and occasionally at other Alliander locations. Within Qirion, you will work in the Asset Data team.

The energy transition is impossible without you as a Data Steward.

As a Data Steward at Qirion, you are the link between the project team and the asset management organization. At the start of a project, you join the consultation between the Lead Engineer and Project Manager. Together, you agree on which asset data needs to be delivered and when. During the course of projects, you will participate in technical consultations and, where necessary, adjust the process in the interim. Together with your colleagues, you will facilitate the smooth and timely delivery of asset data. We are creating the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as a Data Steward, you will be part of this. Your tasks will include:

  • focus on timely, complete, and high-quality delivery of asset data in accordance with the applicable KPIs;
  • the delivery of asset data within your own region;
  • customer contact regarding the data;
  • coordinating the processing of data in customer and Qirion asset management systems;
  • Devising and developing proposals for improvement.

You make it just that little bit more complete at Alliander

Did you know that at Alliander we are made up of several companies? With a large club of professionals, we develop and manage the energy network for millions of residents and entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. We do this together and with attention to our customer. And thanks to our talents, we have full confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we make the energy transition possible.

And you will be doing that at our Qirion business unit. Here, you will be working with around 1,250 colleagues on energy infrastructure and smart energy solutions. You will design, build, and maintain the high-voltage grid of today and tomorrow.

Team Asset Data, part of the KMM department, is a team of specialists in the fields of data management, GIS, EAM software, and BIM. The team consists of around 25 colleagues working in different roles who collaborate closely. It is a highly diverse and committed team in which everyone actively contributes to the development and success of the department. The responsibility for recording accurate data and thus for the safety of the high-voltage grid and our colleagues is the common thread running through our work every day.

You make it more energetic

Learn something new every day. You do this using your own strengths and talents. And you do this with us. Can you contribute to this with your customer-focused approach? Sounds good! Especially if you can add to this with:

  • a completed higher professional education degree, preferably in IT, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering;
  • 2 to 5 years of work experience in a technical and/or data environment, this is really a must;
  • communication skills and knowing how to navigate the right channels to get things done;
  • Good at stakeholder management at various levels
  • knowledge of GIS and BIM is an advantage;
  • knowledge of or affinity with high voltage.
