Front-end Web Developer – Team Alpaca
Start: July 1, 2026 (ASAP after completion of extensive screening)
Duration: June 30, 2027
Hours per week: 32–40
Rate: up to €110, including MSP fee

Note: for this position, it is essential that the candidate is fluent in Dutch
Location: Arnhem (Tuesday is a shared office day)

Role of the Front-end Web Developer within Alpaca
As a Front-endWeb Developer within the Alpaca team, you are responsible for building and implementing generic client-side Geo-modules. These modules are offered as web components throughout the organization. You contribute to the development of the GIS web application, an essential tool for 3,000 employees within Alliander. In addition, you will work with the team to identify new generic functionalities, discuss application architecture with the architect, and collaborate with the UX specialist and Product Owner. As a Front-end Web Developer, you will serve as the technical point of contact for developing and maintaining web applications that directly contribute to our digital strategy. You will work closely with colleagues from various disciplines and ensure that core IT principles are always applied.

• Developing, testing, and maintaining user-friendly web components according to modern IT standards
• Actively contributing to collaboration within the team, using your technical knowledge to connect colleagues and achieve shared goals
Ability to place technical issues within the broader context of Alliander
• Proactively contribute ideas for improvements and innovations, with an eye for both the user and the bigger picture
Profile
You have a solid technical foundation: experience with front-end frameworks, knowledge of web standards, and a keen eye for quality. You connect people through your open attitude, by sharing knowledge, and by seeking joint solutions. Context awareness is second nature to you; you understand the impact of decisions on the team and the organization and know how to translate this into concrete actions.
Must-haves & Pre’s
• Must-have: Experience with front-end technologies (such as React, Vue, or Angular), HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Must-have: Understanding of IT development principles such as SOLID, DDD, and modular development.
• Must-have: Knowledge of AWS.
• Must-have: Strong communication and collaboration skills; you enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and mentoring colleagues.
• Must-have: Ability to place technical decisions in the context of team and organizational goals.
• Must-have: Broad IT background
• Preferred: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Preferred: Interest in the energy market and digital innovation.
• Preferred: Affinity with GIS
