Role description and task arrangements

Project Control Manager
Type: Secondment
Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
Location: Apeldoorn and Almere, at least 3 days per week in the office
Duration: 1 year (with the possibility of extension)

Rate: €95, including MSP fee
Screening: Basic

Note: Please include the candidate’s gross monthly salary on the resume.

As part of the IPM team, you will contribute to the management of our large-scale projects. You will advise the project team by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information regarding planning, finances, and risks.

This involves overseeing project assignments and scope management, financial management, scheduling, information management, document management, and risk and quality management. You’ll highlight blind spots in project management and translate your findings into clear recommendations for decision-making. From your central role, you’ll keep internal and external stakeholders well informed of current developments and ensure they’re in the loop. This is a hybrid position. You’ll work at the site level, which means you’ll be responsible for multiple projects and will regularly visit the various construction sites within the project area. We operate on a hybrid model: two days a week you’ll be in the office with and at our contractor’s site in Almere, at least one day with the program team in Apeldoorn, and the rest of the time—if your work allows—you’ll work comfortably from home.

We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as a junior project management manager, you’ll be part of this effort. In this role, you’ll be working on:
  • Ensuring that up-to-date reports are available to serve as the basis for management actions and provide guidance to all parties involved in the project.
  • You monitor the budget, schedule, and risks, ensure that the team has a clear understanding of them, and actively manage them in collaboration with the team.
  • You ensure that the budget and schedule are reliable, that risks are identified, and that our stakeholders are kept informed of any changes.
  • Report on project progress and deviations to the project manager.
  • You will serve as a sounding board for our contractor in the area of project management and help further professionalize their project management practices.
  • Will you help build an increasingly efficient organization by contributing your own suggestions for improvement?

You can only look ahead with above-average clarity if you have enough energy. And the right work environment gives you that. The NuMeren program team consists of dedicated and honest colleagues. You encourage each other to do your best work. And you also provide support and honest feedback when needed. In today’s era of grid congestion, it’s becoming increasingly challenging to supply customers with the electricity they need. The grid expansion program helps solve this problem.

You just make it more energetic
Working on an organization that is future-proof. You do that from your own strength and talent. And you do it with us. Will you contribute to this with your structured approach? Super! And complement this with:
  • A college or university level of work and thinking, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role as a project control manager.
  • You have experience leading teams and are skilled at liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience with integrated project management.
  • Experience with project-based work in a technical environment. Preferably with working in construction teams and/or in a leadership role.
  • Affinity for engineering.
  • Experience with OPC, SAP, and other applications in a project environment is a plus, and you are familiar with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Customer focus: you understand that everything we do ultimately has an impact on our customers, and you act accordingly.
