Job Posting: Project Control Advisor
Are you an analytical and collaborative professional with experience in project management? Do you want to make an impact on the energy transition and successfully oversee complex projects? If so, we’re looking for you to join our IPM team as a Project Management Consultant. With your experience, you know how to maintain a big-picture perspective and identify potential risks. This is a 32–40-hour-per-week position.

The energy transition is impossible without you as a Project Management Consultant
As a Project Control Advisor, you are responsible for advising on and coordinating all control aspects within our projects: finances, risks, scheduling, information, organization, and quality (GROTIK). You work closely with the Project Control Manager, Project Manager, Technical Manager, and Site Manager. In addition, you serve as the primary point of contact for our contractor regarding project control.
You ensure that everything runs smoothly and that deadlines are met. You are the linchpin of the team and provide oversight, structure, and reliable management information. You do this as part of an IPM team. We collaborate with the contractor in a Construction Team for each project.
You will work at least once a week at our office in Amsterdam and twice a week at the contractor’s site in Grootebroek.

We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as a project management consultant, you’ll be part of this effort. In this role, you’ll be working on:
  • Analyzing and monitoring financial data to ensure that projects stay within budget.
  • Monitor the schedule, ensure that milestones are met, and ensure the availability of capacity and resources.
  • Supporting, facilitating, and implementing risk management to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Preparing progress and accountability reports
  • Ensuring quality and compliance with agreements, guidelines, and laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure the quality of our projects.
You'll help make Alliander even better
Did you know that at Alliander we are made up of several companies? Together with Liander, Qirion, Qterra, Dep, Firan and Entrnce, we develop and manage the energy network for millions of residents in the Netherlands. And with the current energy transition, that's hard work. We do this with the help of a large club of professionals. Thanks to these talents, we have full confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we will make it possible.
And you’ll be doing that at our Liander business unit, within the Medium-Voltage Implementation Chain. This chain is home to many passionate technicians who are eager to contribute to society. You’ll work on the Helix program team, collaborating with the technical manager, environmental manager, project manager, and contract manager.
The Helix program is made up of dedicated and honest colleagues. It’s a dynamic team committed to a sustainable future. You encourage one another to do your best work, and you also provide support and honest feedback when needed.
You make it even more energetic
Building an organization that’s ready for the future. You do that by drawing on your own strengths and talents. And you do that with us. Will you contribute to this with your unique perspectives? Let’s do it! And will you also bring the following to the table:
  • A higher vocational education (HBO+) level of work and thinking.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in project management (i.e., not as a project leader or coordinator), preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or construction sector;
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Project Management (IPM) model.
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational awareness, and persuasiveness
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • You are independent, organized, and enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams
