Job Opening: Logistics Associate, Amsterdam Location

You keep the energy chain moving

Are you a real go-getter with a knack for logistics? Do you get a boost of energy from a tightly organized warehouse, materials that are ready on time, and coworkers who can count on you? Then we’re looking for you.

For the Logistics Associate position in Amsterdam (Westpoort location), it is clear that this role revolves around receiving, storing, picking, dispatching, and shipping materials.

As a Logistics Associate, you are an indispensable part of Liander’s logistics operations. You ensure that technicians and colleagues have access to the right materials, at the right time, and in the right place. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to a reliable energy supply and to the energy transition.

What will you do?

In this varied role, you will be responsible for day-to-day logistics tasks in the warehouse or at the recycling center. You will receive goods, check deliveries, ensure that materials are stored in the correct location, and pick orders for pickup or shipment. Your responsibilities will also include managing return and waste streams.

You work carefully, safely, and according to established processes. Whether it’s small equipment, large cable reels, transformers, or containers, you ensure that everything is organized, complete, and ready on time. For large equipment, you’ll use a large forklift; experience with it is a plus, but there’s also an opportunity to learn how to operate it over time.

This is you

You’re passionate about logistics, get things done, and maintain a clear overview. You work with precision, are organized, and can work independently, but you’re also a good communicator who enjoys collaborating with colleagues.

Furthermore, you bring:

  • MBO 2/3 skill and cognitive level, preferably in the field of logistics.
  • Work experience in logistics or in a similar warehouse position.
  • A valid forklift operator's certificate.
  • Experience with SAP, EWM, MVOS, or Excel is a plus.
  • You work safely, are customer-focused, and honor your commitments.

What do we offer you?

You’ll be joining an organization that’s constantly evolving, where logistics plays a key role in supporting field technicians and operations. At Alliander, you’ll help develop smart solutions that prepare the energy grid for the future.

You can count on:

  • A challenging and varied job with long-term job security.
  • Excellent employment conditions, including a salary or gross hourly wage depending on the position and experience.
  • Extensive education and training opportunities.
  • A dedicated and enthusiastic team where collaboration is key.
  • The opportunity to further your career within Alliander's logistics department.

Why this position?

Because you do more than just move boxes. You ensure that materials are available, technicians can keep working, and problems are resolved more quickly. Thanks to your dedication, the logistics chain keeps running—and every day, you make a visible contribution to the Netherlands’ energy supply.
