Outdoor work. In our low- and medium-voltage grids, to be precise. This involves interesting technical challenges, freedom, and ample opportunities for career growth. You ensure the reliability of the grid at Alliander.
The energy transition is impossible without you as an electrician.
You often hear that every day is different. But in your job, that's really true. You use your own tablet to check the schedule and see what work is planned for that day. You leave home in your company van and head to your work area in the Amsterdam region. One day you might be troubleshooting a malfunction with a trainee electrician. The next day you might be repairing a cable that was damaged during excavation work. And how about a job installing a low-voltage network in a new residential area? This is just a small selection, because there is much more to do, of course. We are creating the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as an electrician, you will be contributing to this. Your tasks will include:
· Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of faults on the low- and medium-voltage network, transformer stations, and public lighting.
· · Supervising electricians in training.
You make it just that little bit more complete at Alliander
Did you know that Alliander consists of various companies that work together to create a reliable and future-proof energy network? With a large team of professionals, we develop and manage the energy network for millions of residents and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with an eye for the people who rely on us: our customers. And thanks to our talented people, we have every confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we are making the energy transition possible, for and with our customers.
And you are going to do that at our business unit Liander. Here you will be jointly responsible for the management and maintenance of energy networks such as electricity and gas. We supply energy to households, businesses and other customers.
Monitoring our energy grid is only possible if you have enough energy. And the right working environment gives you that. The Maintenance & Malfunctions department consists of friendly and helpful colleagues. You always help each other with larger, more complex issues. And of course, there is also time for a friendly chat or a good joke. Your future colleague will tell you more about this.
"There are always different things on the schedule. That makes the work challenging. And that keeps you learning."
You make it more energetic
Switching in the power grid and testing whether it works. You do that from your own strength and talent. And you do it with us. Do you contribute to that with your logical way of thinking? Great! Especially if you complement this with:
· A degree in electrical engineering, preferably specializing in low and medium voltage.
· At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
· A BEI certificate AVP LS + VP MS. It is an advantage if you also have AVP MS. In addition, experience with switching is a must.
· A driver's license B.
