As a grid architect for customer integration flex at Liander, you have an impact on one of the biggest themes of the moment: energy transition. You are driven and enthusiastic and will look at the possibilities within the current energy network. This is a position for 32-40 hours in Arnhem/Amsterdam. You will make the grid smarter at Alliander.

You make the energy grid better as a grid architect customer integration flex

Together with your colleagues, you will be the one who gives direction to smart solutions for the electricity grid so that we can optimally facilitate customers in a rapidly changing energy market. In a world where the demand for electricity is growing exponentially, your mission is to make maximum use of the available capacity of the electricity grid and to respond proactively to the opportunities and risks of energy transition. The real challenge lies in your ability to make the right strategic choices from a helicopter view, anticipating and acting quickly in a complex and constantly changing environment of Alliander, its stakeholders and the impact of changing legislation and regulations.

In this role, you have broad technical responsibility for the grid architecture domain and drive the entire Liander chain. You direct complex analyses and challenges in modeling and applying (new) solutions on the electricity grid to facilitate customer demands. With your expertise you facilitate the maximum incorporation of customers, also in situations of congestion management or alternative solutions. We create the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. As a grid architect for customer integration flex, you will contribute to this. You will be working on the:

  • Set the course for both mainstream and innovative customer integration and congestion management solutions at Alliander;
  • Develop methods and techniques for scalable grid architecture and customer integration solutions;
  • Identify network bottlenecks and determine rapid solutions to congestion problems, making best use of available network capacity;
  • Ensure proper use of forecasts and scenarios to optimize customer integration and congestion management;
  • Provide knowledge for congestion in Liander's power grid and constraints on customer solutions;

You will carry out the work from the team customer integration flex. The colleagues are based at the offices in Amsterdam and Arnhem. Because you coordinate a lot with each other, you work twice a week at the office. This can be in Arnhem or in Amsterdam.

  • A college+ or wo working and thinking level, preferably with a technical education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a relevant area of interest.
  • Knowledge of power grids, grid architecture, various models and techniques, methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of the latest developments within this field, such as regional and sectoral development policies.
  • Experience in communicating ideas, persuading and creating support, showing personal leadership.

For this, you will receive based on a 40-hour work week (when you are permanently employed by Alliander after the secondment period, not applicable now):

  • A salary from € 4490.79 to 6415.25 gross per month (scale 9 )*;
  • An annual individual choice budget (IKB) of 18% (full-time) or 12.8% (part-time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 8% vacation allowance. You can have this amount paid out, but you can also buy extra days off, for example. You choose what suits you;
  • 24.5 vacation days per year, liberally supplementable from your IKB.
  • A December year-end bonus of 6% of monthly salaries paid in the current calendar year;
  • Every year a DI budget of € 500 for your sustainable employability. Choose, for example, to pay for your hobby sport, make your house more sustainable and greener, or reduce your study debt with DUO. You decide where your budget goes;
  • Work where it works best for you, if your position allows. From the office or from home. If you work from home, you will receive a home office allowance for this.

 

*The salary level will be mutually agreed upon based on knowledge and experience. As the Netarchitect role is a highly specialized position with excellent advancement opportunities.
