Location: On Mondays Amsterdam Basisweg, other days hybrid and in consultation (office/home or at clients' premises)
As environment manager you play an essential role in the realization of successful projects. You are responsible for the timely provision of environmental plans, permits and land for our infrastructure, such as cable routes and power stations. You are constantly professionalizing the field and work on important topics such as the impact of electromagnetic fields and noise on the environment.You monitor spatial developments around existing substations and proactively respond to changes. Your efforts ensure that the environment understands the need for projects and is willing to cooperate. You contribute directly to the timely realization of a future-proof energy system for all.What you will do:
As Environmental Manager High Voltage West- you will be concerned with:
- Stakeholder Management: You provide a structured approach to stakeholder management internally and externally by identifying, analyzing and actively involving stakeholders in the project, policy or decision.
- Feasibility Studies: You supervise and assess (spatial) feasibility studies to ensure that projects are realistic.
- Shaping Process: You shape the process of spatial decisions and land acquisition. Your goal is to obtain permits in a timely manner and make plots of land available.
- Representation: You will represent Liander during information meetings and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
- Professionalization initiatives: You are actively involved in the professionalization of the field by addressing themes and issues arising from projects, such as the impact of electromagnetic fields or noise on the environment.
- Proactive monitoring: You will monitor spatial developments around existing substations and proactively respond to changes.
- Spatial incorporation: You take the lead in spatially incorporating our power stations so that they integrate well into the environment.

- At least a college degree, for example in planning, environmental geography, law or administrative science.
- Proven work experience of at least 3 to 6 years in supervising infrastructure projects within a complex administrative and political environment.
- Demonstrated work experience in a relevant role, such as RO employee, environmental manager, environmental lawyer, or environmental law consultant.
- A heart for Amsterdam complemented by knowledge of local government culture.
- Strong communication and networking skills, able to effectively deal with (political) interests and gain support.
