Role description and task arrangements

Supplier call with manager:
Start date: as soon as possible, no later than mid-March
Duration of assignment: 1 year
Hours: 3 days per week. Tuesday is fixed, preferably also Wednesday and Thursday.
Location: Tuesday in Duiven, Wednesday/Thursday in Doetinchem or at the contractor's premises. 
Maximum rate (including MSP fee): €120

The energy transition is impossible without you as an environmental manager.  
In the coming years, one in three streets will need to be opened up to prepare the energy grid for the future. In the Arnhem-Nijmegen region, this means laying more than 2,000 km of cable and installing 1,175 electricity substations for the NuGelre program. This requires good coordination with the local community, whether it be local residents, a water board, or a landowner. In all phases of the project, you know what is important to them. As an Environmental Manager, you are the connecting link between the project and the people around it.  
Managing our contractor's work? You're the best person for the job. Together with the contractor, we form a construction team and take care of the expansion of the power grid. You are responsible for tactical environmental management, while the contractor carries out the operational part. As an environmental manager, you have final responsibility for the entire field of environmental management.  

We are creating the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as an environmental manager for energy transition, you will be contributing to this. Your tasks will include:  
  • Coaching and guidance
    Supporting and advising the contractor in setting up and optimizing environmental management, including optimization of processes in all phases of design and implementation.

  • stakeholder analysis Conducting (or commissioning) a detailed stakeholder analysis at project level and translating this into effective communication with the surrounding community.
  • Communication optimization
    Improving communication during the project phase in collaboration with the contractor and Liander's communications officer.
    Public communicationresponsible for information meetings and other public communication. (in collaboration with communications advisor).
    Construction communicationwas set up in collaboration with the contractor, with the aim of enabling the contractor to carry this out independently in future projects.
  • Assessment of conditioning studies
    Manages conditioning studies from Liander's perspective.
  • Responsibility for environmental aspects
    On behalf of Liander, taking care of all environmental aspects within the project, including:
    • Timely dissemination and acquisition of research results per phase.
    • Applying for permits and obtaining them in a timely manner
    • Coordination with regard to ZRO and station purchases in relation to the environment and G&R advisor
  • Develop and grow
    • Contributing to the further development and improvement of the approach to environmental management in the NuGelre Achterhoek program (continuous improvement)
    • Regular consultation and coordination with Liander's senior environmental manager
    • Contribution and development of environmental managers for the NuGelre construction team, Achterhoek plot

  • Knowledge of legal aspects of environmental management and environmental law (such as environmental law, environmental legislation, or nature conservation legislation).
