Location: Haarlem
Rate: €80, including MSP fee

Help build the energy grid of the future. As an engineer at Liander in Amsterdam, you’ll use your technical talent to design and execute impressive infrastructure projects. You’ll ensure that energy remains available today and tomorrow. This is a position for 32 hours per week or more. You’ll make the grid smarter and more sustainable at Alliander.

This is what you will do
The energy transition is impossible without you as an engineer
You are the link between concept and execution. As part of a project team, you’ll work on the design, preparation, and implementation of a wide range of infrastructure projects with a social impact. Think of connecting new residential and office towers to the power grid, relocating cables and pipes for infrastructure projects, or integrating solar farms into the existing energy grid. You’ll translate the requirements into a concrete design and ensure that everything is in order, from permits to materials.

We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as an engineer, you’ll be part of this effort. In this role, you’ll be working on:
  • analyzing application data and creating a detailed conceptual design;
  • determining the route by performing calculations and assessing the situation on site;
  • requesting the necessary documentation, such as traffic plans, permits, and soil surveys;
  • ordering materials and calculating the expected costs;
  • Discuss your plans with internal and external partners.
You complete the grid at Alliander
Did you know that Alliander consists of different companies working together to create a reliable and future-proof energy network? With a large club of professionals, we develop and manage the energy network for millions of residents and entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with an eye for the people who rely on us: our customers. And thanks to our talents, we have full confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we make the energy transition possible, for and with our customers.
And you are going to do that at our business unit Liander. Here you will be jointly responsible for the management and maintenance of energy networks such as electricity and gas. We supply energy to households, businesses and other customers.
You’ll be working as part of a team of engineers, field supervisors, project coordinators, and project managers. Together, you’ll manage projects in the Amsterdam region. Your colleagues are knowledgeable, dedicated, and always willing to share their expertise. You’ll work partly in the office and partly from home, whichever works best for your work and personal life.
You just make it more energetic
  • We’re looking for motivated colleagues with a passion for technology and the drive to keep learning. You’ll be a great fit for us if you:
  • have completed an MBO 4 or HBO program in a technical field and have relevant work experience, such as as a work planner or engineer,
  • You must have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role as an engineer
  • Work experience at Alliander or another grid operator is a major advantage
  • Experience managing large projects (ranging from €300,000 to €1 million)
  • are familiar with systems such as SAP or GAIA
  • enjoys working on a project basis and is a good team player.
