As an Engineer Telecom, you are responsible for the engineering of the telecom networks. Through your work, you ensure that communication in the high-voltage network is always optimal. In this role you will contribute to the design, rollout, installation and modification of new and existing telecom assets for our client or customers, such as Liander, Alliander Telecom and TenneT. Most of your work will be hybrid (from our office in Duiven or at home), but occasionally you will be on location at clients or suppliers. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself as an expert in telecom networks. This is a position for a minimum of 32 hours. You will make the net more professional at Alliander.

As an engineer telecom you are responsible for the engineering of the telecom network that ensures that communication in the high voltage network is always optimal. As an engineer you are technically responsible for this specialized part of the projects. You are involved in the technical development of the telecom connection of a location to the telecom network. In this, you are the spider in the telecom web.

From our clients (Alliander and TenneT) you will coordinate all technical aspects within the project team. You help draw up the plan, with aspects such as safety, feasibility and technical feasibility as the most important factors. Dozens of new connections and customer sites are built each year and at least as many are modified or maintained. So sitting still is out of the question! We are creating the energy network of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as a telecom engineer, you are involved in this. You are busy with the:

• Preparation of study new construction projects;
• Preparation of basic design new construction projects; Preparation of detail design new construction projects; Review of completion data;
• Delivery of project documentation to the client;
• Constantly develop your own knowledge and skills to become an expert in your field.

• MBO+ / HBO level obtained through education or demonstrable work experience in the direction of electrical engineering, energy engineering or telecommunications;
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the design and work preparation of (telecom) projects;
• Knowledge of Telecom data communications;
• Experience with Autocad is required;
• Experience with Elcad or you are willing to acquire this knowledge;
