High-voltage power line engineer
Within the Lines team, you will play a very important role in the technical realization of projects and, with your knowledge and experience, ensure that team members can rely on you. The location for this position is Duiven, but we work hybrid, so we make sure we are in the office at least twice a week to work together and learn from each other. The other days we work from home or at a project location where you are currently working on a project. This is a position for a minimum of 32 hours per week.

You ensure that Tennet and Liander's above-ground high-voltage grid is constructed and/or maintained in accordance with the customer's wishes. Within the project team, you are responsible for the engineering design work and also provide support for the technical implementation. Your tasks include:
  • You coordinate the engineering work within the projects and ensure mutual coordination so that the product of the various disciplines can be delivered to the customer on time and with the required quality.
  • You create and review calculations, designs, tender specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • You are responsible for tenders for services, materials, and works.
  • You test the quality of materials (factory acceptance tests).
  • You provide substantive guidance on the technical designs (preliminary designs, detailed designs, and working drawings) and ensure that they comply with the scope of the assignment.
  • You provide support during the execution of construction work.
  • You are an active participant in consultations with the internal project team, the client, and other agencies.
  • You share knowledge with peers and colleagues, such as juniors in the team.
The lines team consists of (high-voltage) lines engineers, lead engineers, (3D) drafters, and designers. Within the team, you will work closely with eight lines engineers with a wide range of specialisms. The work of the lines team is unique. We not only carry out projects in our service area but also throughout the country. Examples include a partial solution for the new 380kV line connection between Rilland and Tilburg (temporary take-off points, mast reinforcements, and removals) or the construction/connection of the line connection to our new substation near Lelystad.

Requirements
  • At least a completed technical higher professional education degree
  • At least 5 years of work experience as an engineer in the line domain;
  • Experience with System Engineering is a major advantage;
  • Experience with programs such as PLS CADD and/or Tower
  • Customer focus: you understand that everything we do ultimately has an impact on our customers, and you act accordingly.
