Technical Specialist for Fixed Networks
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 1 year, with the possibility of extension
Hours per week: 40
Location: Arnhem (must be present at least 3 times per week)
Rate: €130, including MSP fee

As a Fixed Networks Technical Specialist at , you’ll contribute to the development and management of Alliander’s telecom services. This will enable Alliander Telecom to fulfill its crucial role in the energy supply of the future. You’ll help us realize our ambitions for the energy transition. You’ll make the grid more sustainable!

The energy transition is impossible without you as a Fixed Networks Technical Specialist

As a Fixed Networks Technical Specialist, you are a highly experienced professional and hold a senior role within the team. You are responsible for the development of the fiber-optic network and the services provided over it. You serve as the link between architecture and implementation by translating designs into feasible and manageable solutions.

In addition, you will be involved in researching, testing, and implementing new services, technologies, and network components. You will do this within our own test and acceptance environment. Drawing on your seniority and expertise in the areas of hardware, software, and networks, you will collaborate with supply chain partners to solve complex problems and take the lead in implementing structural improvements.

This is how you work on the energy of today and tomorrow:

    • Collaborate with architects and product owners to bring designs and policies from paper to reality;
    • A resource for engineers to resolve issues and problems as third-line support using ITIL processes;
    • Communicate with equipment suppliers and the customer’s technical specialists to independently resolve problems and implement improvements;
    • A key player in projects and bids, serving as the technical expert.

  • MEF-CECP Certification
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with complex telecommunications networks and related technologies, such as (carrier) Ethernet, SDH, OTN, PDH, and DWDM
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology is a plus
