Process Consultant

At Alliander, we are working hard to shape the energy transition and are on the eve of a radical system transformation. With the Fit4Future program, we are taking a major step towards a new, robust system landscape. Outdated systems are being phased out step by step and replaced by a future-proof solution. The customer department faces a major task: we must ensure that our operational (customer) processes are seamlessly integrated into the new system, while remaining able to shape the energy transition.
As a Process Specialist, you are the link between operations and IT to realize the improvements. You do this from a 'how can we make it work' mindset. This is a 32-40 hour per week position, based in Arnhem. You make Alliander even more professional. That is why we are looking for a driven Process Specialist who can contribute as much as possible to these two major tasks that affect our department.
As a Process Specialist within the Customer department, you will not only see room for improvement, you will also ensure that the solution is implemented. You will work in a dynamic environment and divide your time between two teams: the operational team 'Public Domain Customer Management' and the change team 'Business Team Customer'. The solution to achieving change does not always lie within these teams. You will therefore move easily through the organization and engage the right IT teams or chain partners to realize the change.
We are creating the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as a Process Specialist, you will be contributing to this. Your tasks will include:
  • Proactive advising: You advise the team leader, the operation, and the change team, both when asked and on your own initiative. In doing so, you dare to ask critical questions about usefulness and necessity.
  • Translating strategy into implementation: You ensure that IT solutions meet the real needs of the business. Because you know better than anyone how the processes work and what challenges the business faces. You know how to translate this into concrete features and user stories. You do this independently, but are just as comfortable working on it collaboratively.
  • Question and troubleshooter: Is the team stuck in a process or system? Then they know to come to you. You dive in, find out where things are going wrong, and arrange a solution, often in collaboration with other departments.

Digitizing and optimizing the energy transition. You do this using your own strengths and talents. And you do this with us. You don't wait around, you show courage, you anticipate, you seek and see opportunities, you identify bottlenecks and act on them. Do you contribute to this with your commitment and do you take the initiative to make suggestions for improvement? Great! Especially if you can complement this with:
  • Minimum higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking;
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience;
  • Flexibility, because plans can change and you can easily adapt without losing sight of the goal;
  • Connecting ability, you achieve the most through the good relationships you have built;
  • Availability between 32-40 hours.
  • Knowledge of SAFe or similar agile frameworks is an advantage.
  • Experience with process management;
  • Customer focus: you understand that everything we do has an impact on our customers, and you act accordingly.
  • Characteristics such as sensitive, proactive, communicative, and critical
