Make an impact on the energy transition with smart processes and future-proof systems.
As a Process & Implementation Consultant within Market Services, you will be working at the heart of the changes needed to make the energy transition possible. You will be part of a driven business team that manages and improves existing processes and designs and implements new ones. In this way, you will ensure that Alliander—and with it, the Netherlands—can move forward faster, smarter, and more sustainably.

The energy transition requires new systems. You make that possible.
The Netherlands is facing an enormous challenge: preparing the energy grid for the future. Changing customer needs, legislation, and market developments mean that our processes and systems must change too. This includes redesigning core systems such as ERP, standardizing processes, and creating flexibility to respond more quickly to new business requirements.

This is where you come in.
In this role, you will play a key position in optimizing existing processes and implementing new future-proof processes and systems for Market Services. Market Services is involved in facilitating the market so that customers receive accurate energy bills and can switch energy suppliers, but also in keeping administrative network losses as low as possible. You will analyze and optimize existing contractless and energy fraud processes, design new processes where necessary, and implement processes based on new ERP systems in our Revenue & Network Loss department.

Your role: liaison between business, IT, and change
You move smoothly between strategic thinking and practical implementation. You understand what the organization needs, liaise effortlessly with both operational and technical teams, develop process descriptions yourself, and involve stakeholders in choices and implementation. You contribute to a transparent, reliable, and future-proof energy system by:
  • Optimizing, standardizing, and digitizing existing processes in a hands-on manner;
  • Translating business needs into a concrete step-by-step plan;
  • Develop new processes for business (operational staff) in understandable language based on the new ERP system and then implement them;
  • Maintain an overview of stakeholders (including business, legal affairs, IT, and fellow network operators) and involve them at the right time.

Together with the Product Owner and Team Leader, you monitor progress, implementation, and results. You work closely with internal partners and create support for the changes needed to keep the Netherlands energy-efficient and future-proof.

Your impact at Alliander
Alliander consists of various companies that together develop and manage the energy network for millions of Dutch citizens. Within this challenging environment, you will be working in the Market Services division, where strategy, innovation, and implementation go hand in hand. You will be part of a team of committed professionals who work together on solutions that make a real difference.

What you bring to the table
We are looking for an experienced professional who is energized by process optimization and complex change projects. You have:
  • higher professional education/university level of working and thinking;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a process improvement specialist, process consultant, or implementation consultant;
  • experience in developing work instructions and processes;
  • experience at the intersection of business (administrative operations) and IT;
  • experience with implementations of large systems (e.g., ERP);
  • strong affinity with process optimization and digitization;
  • a natural curiosity and willingness to learn;
  • experience working in a SAFe (Agile) environment (preferred);
  • Experience within the energy sector or at a network operator (preferred).
