Job Description: Program Manager, Fit4Future ISU
Alliander context
The Netherlands runs on energy. And by 2050, it will run entirely on renewable energy. It is up to the grid companies and all our partners to help make this energy transition possible. And we are working hard to achieve that. For example, by managing and upgrading our energy grids. By providing the data and services that our customers, governments, and partners need. We do this so that everyone who needs energy—or can supply it—can do so or receive it. And at the same time, we ensure that the energy system as a whole remains reliable, affordable, and accessible to everyone. Now and in the more sustainable Netherlands of tomorrow. Serving our customers and achieving our goals requires a future-proof and robust information infrastructure.
Alliander committed to digitalization early on to facilitate the energy transition, with teams that develop, implement, and manage digital solutions. These include apps for field technicians and municipalities, as well as advanced algorithms for investment optimization and preventing bottlenecks in the power grid. However, for part of our information provision, we are still dependent on outdated systems with complex interfaces and data that is difficult to access. That is why we will be replacing and upgrading our core IT systems over the next five years.

Fit4Future
Alliander has launched a program called Fit4Future to prepare its IT infrastructure for the future. Fit4Future consists of five separate (but complementary) programs: 1) ERP, 2) Data, 3) IAM, 4) Asset, and 5) ISU.

ISU Program
The Fit4Future ISU program focuses on implementing new processes in the target architecture (such as the new rate model for large-scale customers) and also ensures the phased-out of the current SAP ISU and CRM systems through a controlled migration. SAP ISU supports core processes such as customer management, connections, metering, billing, collections, and market processes.
The program is in the early stages of the implementation phase and is characterized by a high degree of technical and organizational complexity, strong interdependencies between business, IT, operations, and suppliers, and the critical requirement that maintenance and incident response processes continue uninterrupted.

The role
The Fit4Future Asset Program Manager has overall responsibility for one of the most business-critical transformation programs within Alliander.
The role requires a highly experienced program manager who can set the direction independently, drive decision-making when necessary, and operate effectively in a complex administrative environment. The program manager serves as the primary point of contact for the steering committee and executive management and represents Alliander in dealings with strategic suppliers.

  • Leading project and rollout managers, the PMO, and functional teams
  • Strategic management of suppliers and contract partners
  • Reporting and escalating to the steering committee and the Fit4Future portfolio
  • Ensuring the controlled transfer of program results to management and the line organization

Qualifications and Experience

  • Academic or higher vocational education (HBO+) level of work and thinking;
  • Over 10 years of experience asa program manager at the enterprise level, managingcomplex, business-critical programs;
  • Proven experience with complex IT and change management programs that have a significant operational impact;
  • Knowledge of ISU processes is required;

  • Experience with strategic supplier management in multi-vendor environments;
  • Experience with programs where the continuity and reliability of primary processes are critical;
