Project Manager C Implementation
Hours: 32–40 hours Employment type: permanent contract; self-employment not an option
Rate: up to €105, including MSP fee
Location: Amsterdam Basisweg; must be in the office at least 2 to 3 times a week.

If this is not included, the candidate will not be considered for further stages of the processAs a Project Manager at the National Cable Unit, you will be responsible for complex energy projects, specifically the installation of underground high-voltage cables (50 kV to 150 kV). You will work on route projects for both Liander and TenneT in the NHN and Friesland regions, based at our office in Amsterdam. In addition, you will assist with maintenance and troubleshooting in this section of the grid. This is a position for a minimum of 32 hours per week.

The energy transition is impossible without you as a High-Voltage Cable Project ManagerAs a project manager, you are responsible for the entire project lifecycle: from the planning phase through to completion. During the planning phase, you will work on feasibility studies, design alternatives, and the preliminary design. For construction projects, you will oversee the entire process: from the preliminary design through to the detailed design and construction.
You will be working in a complex environment with many stakeholders and technical challenges. Along the routes, extensive use is made of large-scale directional drilling under highways, railways, waterways, nature reserves, and even runways. You will oversee scheduling, quality, safety, and budget, and ensure that projects remain manageable and feasible.
You actively manage risks and opportunities, coordinate with internal and external parties, and play a key role in contract drafting. You determine which tasks are outsourced, conduct market analysis, and evaluate bids to select the most suitable supplier. In addition, you are involved in the maintenance of the cable network and all associated components, such as the replacement or modification of existing sections of the cable network.

- Ensuring safety, from design through to implementation.
- Translating the client’s requirements into a realistic and well-supported project plan.
- Providing project-based leadership to project coordinators and project administrators.
- Working in a results-oriented manner on technically complex projects that have a significant impact on the power grid.

- A completed associate's degree;
- Experience in project management (including Prince / IPMA B/C)
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years as a Project Manager
- An interest in high-voltage engineering and/or civil engineering is a plus;
- Experience with system-oriented contract management;

In return, based on a 40-hour workweek, you will receive:
- A salary ranging from €4,082.27 to €7,585.97 gross per month (pay grade 8, 9, or 10, depending on your experience).
- An annual individual choice budget (ICB) of 18% (full-time) or 12.8% (part-time) of your gross annual salary. This includes an 8% vacation allowance. You can choose to have this amount paid out, or you can use it to purchase additional days off, for example. You decide what works best for you.
- 24.5 vacation days per year, with ample opportunity to add to this total using your IKB. In addition, you can exchange 1 or 2 official holidays specified in the collective bargaining agreement for holidays associated with a different culture or religion.
- A December year-end bonus of 6% of your annual salary.
- Every year, you receive a DI budget of €700 for your long-term employability. For example, you can use it to cover the costs of your sport or hobby, make your home more sustainable and eco-friendly, or reduce your student loan debt with DUO. You decide how to use your budget.
- Reimbursement for education and training. In most cases, Alliander will reimburse the full cost of your education.
