The energy transition is impossible without you as a project manager for the neighborhood-based approach
As a Neighborhood Approach Project Manager, you are responsible for the implementation of all projects within a single construction phase. You provide functional leadership to the project team and ensure strong collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. In a dynamic environment with diverse interests, you manage safety, scheduling, quality, risks, and costs.
You ensure that projects are carried out within the agreed-upon GROTIK framework (Budget, Risk, Organization, Time, Information, and Quality). In doing so, you monitor progress, manage risks, and steer the project toward efficient and safe execution. Together with the project team and our supply chain partners, you work toward achieving successful results within the assigned scope.
We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as a community-based project manager, you play an important role in this. Your responsibilities include:
  • overseeing the contractor's preparation and execution of projects;
  • functional leadership of project teams;
  • report on the progress and results of multiple projects within the portfolio;
  • Independently managing the project process and guiding teams through the tollgates;
  • actively contribute to multidisciplinary construction teams and the continuous improvement of collaboration and processes;
  • representing Alliander in construction team agreements and negotiations;
  • bringing together the relevant parties and fostering effective collaboration within the construction team;
  • Strengthening the safety culture within the project team.

You’ll help make the grid even better at Alliander
Did you know that Alliander consists of several companies that work together to build a reliable and future-proof energy grid? With a large team of professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of residents and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with an eye toward the people who count on us: our customers. And thanks to our talented team, we have complete confidence in the Netherlands’ energy future. Together with you, we’re making the energy transition possible—for and with our customers.

And you are going to do that at our business unit Liander. Here you will be jointly responsible for the management and maintenance of energy networks such as electricity and gas. We supply energy to households, businesses and other customers.
You will be working as part of the implementation team focused on the energy transition in the Gelderland region. In this role, you will coordinate neighborhood-based initiatives in villages and towns and ensure that projects run smoothly and according to schedule.
You’ll work closely with colleagues from the intake department, project managers from the chain teams, and external stakeholders, such as municipalities. Together, you’ll ensure the successful implementation of the various projects. The focus is on coordinating, planning, and implementing neighborhood-based approaches in the districts. In addition, you’ll work on pilot projects to improve and scale up work processes with contractors.

You’ll bring even more energy to the table
Building an organization that’s future-proof. You’ll do this by drawing on your own strengths and talents. And you’ll do it with us. Can you contribute to this with your structured approach? Great! Especially if you can complement this with:
  • HBO-level work and thinking skills, preferably in a technical or business administration field.
  • At least five years of experience in project management and the effective coordination of complex projects.
  • Experience with or at a construction company.
  • the ability to analyze data and translate it into concrete, actionable plans and insights.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and building lasting relationships.
  • Experience as a technical project manager in network management or infrastructure projects, and familiarity with the dynamics of this sector.
  • Good Dutch communication skills, both spoken and written.
