Type: secondment or secondment-to-permanent; self-employed contractors not accepted
Location: Amsterdam Westpoort, with on-site collaboration at the contractor’s locations (3 days per week in Enkhuizen and at the Grootenbeek site).

Hours: 32 to 40 hours
Rate: up to €130, including MSP fee

As Project Manager IPM Medium-Voltage Grid Helix, you will lead large-scale expansions of the electricity grid in North Holland North. You have final responsibility from design to completion, manage your IPM team and contractor, and ensure projects are executed efficiently within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards. You collaborate effectively with stakeholders, monitor contracts, and drive results. Within the Helix program team, you’ll make decisive decisions that directly impact the future of energy. Here, you’re not just building grids—you’re building progress. This is a position for a minimum of 32 hours per week, based in Amsterdam.

The energy transition is impossible without you as Project Manager for the IPM Helix Medium-Voltage Grid

As an IPM Project Manager, you have overall responsibility for all activities (design, preparation, implementation, and post-project support) involved in the projects on your site and the construction of new medium-voltage grids. You will provide functional leadership to the approximately 8 IPM team members and indirect team members from other business units and the contractor, working together to achieve the agreed-upon results.

During the design phase, you’ll work alongside the site contractor as part of the construction team; during construction, you and your team will manage the construction contract agreed upon with the site contractor. We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as the IPM project manager for the Helix grid expansion program, you’ll be part of this effort.

That's how you're doing it:

  • preparing site and project plans and contracts for the construction team and the construction phase.
  • Managing the IPM team and construction team in the areas of site performance, process improvement, finances, and contract compliance.
  • Serve as a sounding board for the program manager
  • ensure that project assignments are developed and carried out in accordance with the project plans.
  • Ensure that work on the various projects within the scope—which are being carried out simultaneously—is prioritized, and manage the process to ensure that project deliverables are achieved in accordance with the established requirements regarding time, budget, and quality.
  • Identifying and managing (site- and project-specific) risks.
  • coordinate with internal and external stakeholders when scope changes arise, in consultation with the client where necessary.
  • reviewing submitted design documents, implementation plans, and bids
  • reporting on and preparing project progress reports
