SAP MDG Consultant 
Do you understand the importance of reliable master data better than anyone else? 
Data forms the foundation of virtually all business processes at Alliander. That’s why we’re investing heavily in Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance to ensure data is reliable, reusable, and consistently available across the organization. 

As an SAP MDG Consultant, you’ll play a crucial role in this development. You’ll translate complex business challenges into smart solutions within SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), support the ongoing implementation of SAP S/4HANA, and help the organization professionalize data governance and data quality. 
Within Alliander, SAP MDG is the go-to platform for managing and distributing master data across the IT landscape. Thanks to your expertise, we ensure that processes related to customers, suppliers, and materials remain reliable, efficient, and future-proof. 
You’ll work in a hybrid setting based in Arnhem as part of a team that offers a great deal of freedom, responsibility, and room for personal growth. This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week.

The energy transition is impossible without you as an SAP MDG Consultant
Reliable master data forms the foundation of the energy grid of the future. As an SAP MDG Consultant, you’ll ensure that this data is accurate, available, and used optimally throughout the organization. You’ll work on the further development of SAP MDG, data governance, and system integrations, thereby making a direct contribution to the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Utilities. In this way, you’ll help Alliander build a future-proof energy grid for millions of people in the Netherlands. 

How You’ll Add Value at Alliander 
You’ll join the MDG team, which is part of the ART Business Application Services ERP (BASE). Together with a team of MDG professionals, you’ll work on: 

• Expanding the scope of Business Partners and Contract Accounts for the SAP S/4HANA Utilities implementation; 
• developing and evaluating requirements and functional designs for data governance processes; 
• designing and implementing master data integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems; 
• optimizing and further developing SAP MDG functionalities within SAP S/4HANA; 
• establishing and improving data governance processes, including data quality controls; 
• ensuring that master data is consistent, reliable, and available in a timely manner across the application landscape; 
• Collaborating with business teams, architects, product owners, and development teams to implement joint solutions.

You bring an extra burst of energy 
You have strong analytical skills, think in terms of processes, and know how to explain complex issues in a way that’s easy for various stakeholders to understand. You feel right at home in an environment where business, data, and IT come together. 

In addition, you possess: 

• At least 10 years of experience with SAP and master data processes; 
• At least 3–5 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Master Data Governance (MDG);  
• knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance; 
• experience with requirements analysis, functional design, and process improvements; 
• experience in the functional design of data integrations;
• good command of the Dutch language;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
