Scrum Master – Data & Analytics

For the two teams within CDIT and AIX within ART D&A, we are looking for a Scrum Master who is confident, can coach teams toward greater autonomy, and actively contributes to continuous improvement within a SAFe environment. A highly experienced Scrum Master is valuable, but a less experienced candidate with the right mindset, coaching skills, and drive can also be successful with the right support.

ART Data & Analytics

provides reliable and innovative data platforms and services that are continuously refined to meet the needs of stakeholders. With secure, AI-driven solutions and close strategic alignment, we support data-driven decision-making within Alliander.

Our core products are:

  • Alliander DataCloud – a scalable and reliable data platform
  • Voltix AI Platform – Facilitates AI Innovation and Adoption
  • Databases – Secure, High-Quality Data Management Solutions
  • Web Analytics – Insights for Optimizing Digital Experiences

Cloud Data Infrastructure (CDIT) Team

CDIT manages the core of the Alliander DataCloud. On the one hand, it maintains the infrastructure for Matillion and other systems and is responsible for integrating SaaS products such as Snowflake. On the other hand, it develops onboarding flows that enable users to automatically utilize the building blocks provided by ART Data & Analytics for the Alliander DataCloud.

The challenges within this team are:

  • You will help the team continue to develop its Agile practices following a period without a Scrum Master
  • You foster a culture of improvement, innovation, and experimentation
  • You will support the team in finding the right balance between management activities and the development of new features
  • You facilitate discussions about product development and help the team create space for renewal and innovation
  • You will lead a team composed of a mix of junior, mid-level, and senior professionals and encourage knowledge sharing and professional development
  • You harness the power of a diverse team and support team members at various stages of their development

AIX AI Acceleration
The AI Acceleration team is a platform team that makes the Voltix ML platform available to and continues to develop it for data scientists within Alliander. Voltix supports the entire machine learning and MLOps cycle: from data preparation and model development to inference, monitoring, and model (re)training.

Goal: To accelerate AI innovation by providing a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly platform that enables data scientists to efficiently develop, deploy, and manage AI solutions.

The challenges within this team are:

  • You will lead a team working on a technically complex product, helping to bring structure, focus, and predictability to a dynamic environment
  • You will facilitate effective collaboration within an international team where English is the working language
  • You bring together colleagues from different cultural backgrounds and foster an inclusive and safe work environment where everyone feels heard
  • You will help the team strengthen self-organization and ownership, with a focus on reducing perceived hierarchical barriers (within the team) and promoting open communication
  • You create a culture in which team members actively provide feedback, challenge one another, and take joint responsibility for results
  • You will facilitate collaboration between the team, stakeholders, and users to further increase the product's adoption and value

ART-wide responsibilities

The Scrum Master works closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE), Product Owners, and other Scrum Masters within the ART. Key responsibilities include:

Transparency regarding risks, dependencies, and impediments.
Supporting PI Planning and ART events.
Actively contributing to ART-wide improvements.
Weekly coordination with Scrum Masters and the RTE to continuously improve team and ART performance.

Desired Profile
