Senior VMware Infrastructure Engineer
32–36 hours | Cloud Services & Hosting | Technical Platforms
Help build the virtualization platform of tomorrow
We are looking for a member of our Cloud Services & Hosting team Senior VMware Infrastructure Engineer that combines in-depth VMware expertise with modern automation and Infrastructure as Code.
You’ll be working on mission-critical virtualization infrastructure in data centers and at edge locations. VMware is currently a key component of the platform, but we’re definitely looking beyond it. That’s why we’re seeking someone who not only has strong VMware skills but also approaches infrastructure from the perspective of automation, standardization, and platform engineering.
What will you do?
Your responsibilities will include:
  • design, build, and further develop VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN;
  • Automating infrastructure with Ansible and/or Terraform;
  • building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines;
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code and Git;
  • scripting and automation with PowerShell/PowerCLI;
  • troubleshooting and performance optimization;
  • virtualization for data center and edge environments;
  • security, lifecycle management, monitoring, and standardization;
  • Development toward future virtualization platforms.
What do you bring?
For this senior role, we are looking for candidates with proven experience in:
  • VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter;
  • VMware vSAN and Networking;
  • Ansible and/or Terraform;
  • GitLab CI/CD;
  • Infrastructure as Code and Git;
  • PowerShell/PowerCLI;
  • troubleshooting in complex virtualization environments;
  • enterprise, private cloud, or data center infrastructure.
Automation is explicitly a mandatory requirement for this position—not just a nice-to-have.

A nice bonus
Experience with one or more of the technologies listed below is a strong plus:
  • KVM;
  • KubeVirt;
  • OpenShift Virtualization;
  • VMware vSAN 2-node/edge;
  • Flexera vCommander;
  • Dell/HPE server infrastructure;
  • HPE OneView or Dell OpenManage Enterprise;
  • private/hybrid cloud and edge computing.
Who are we looking for?
A senior engineer who looks beyond traditional VMware management. You take technical ownership, automate wherever possible, and think in terms of code, pipelines, and repeatable infrastructure.
You are interested in both further professionalizing the current VMware platform and helping to build the next generation of virtualization infrastructure.
VMware + Automation + IaC + Future-Ready Virtualization.
