As a Solution Architect at ART Buitenwereld within the Customer and Design division, you’ll bring the digitalization strategy to life within the organization. You’ll translate complex plans into concrete actions, with a focus on the customer and the smart design of energy grids. In this role, you’ll turn innovative ideas into practical solutions. You’ll make the grid smarter at Alliander. This is a 32–40-hour-per-week position.

The energy transition is impossible without you as a Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect at ART Buitenwereld, you play a crucial role in supporting the energy transition and ensuring reliable, safe, and affordable grids. The challenges posed by this transition require a strong focus on automation and digitization. As a Solution Architect, you are key to successfully navigating these changes.

Within the Agile Release Train (ART), you ensure that development teams work in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture. You make architectural decisions, establish frameworks and guidelines, and guide teams in implementing solutions. You coordinate with Product Owners, Epic Owners, and Lead IT Professionals, and collaborate with Enterprise Architects to validate your decisions and provide direction for the value streams.

We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as a Solution Architect, you’ll be part of this effort. In this role, you’ll be working on:

  • Translate frameworks and direction from enterprise architecture into a relevant solution architecture for the development teams within the value chain.
  • Translating business needs into the right solution.
  • Developing critical non-functional solution requirements in order to explore alternative solutions and make a decision.
  • Ensure that quality requirements for solutions are met based on their intended use, required traceability, and auditability, while also taking into account security requirements and architectural principles.
  • Consult with the product manager and release train engineer to guide and support development teams in the area of architecture.
  • Encourage collaboration at the tactical level within the ART and beyond, within Alliander and even at the sector level.
