Operations Strategy Consultant
As an Operations Strategy Consultant, you’ll increase operational productivity by accelerating data-driven decision-making and ensuring that improvements are actually implemented. You’ll not only develop strategic solutions but also ensure that they are successfully implemented within the organization.
You’ll work on complex issues that directly contribute to the energy transition. In doing so, you’ll collaborate daily with project managers, engineers, team leaders, business owners, and regional managers. You’ll reconcile various interests, analyze bottlenecks, and translate these into concrete solutions that are feasible in practice. You’ll then oversee the implementation at the regional level and monitor whether the intended results are actually being achieved.
You’ll be involved from the initial idea on a blank sheet of paper all the way through to implementation and the delivery of tangible value in operations. The use cases you work on are regularly discussed with the COOs. You’ll work within an innovative process that spans discovery, proof of concept (POC), minimum viable product (MVP), and scaling up. You’ll play an active role in every phase: mapping out processes and chains, developing problem analyses and scenarios, and substantiating decisions with data, risk analyses, and impact assessments. You translate strategic issues into concrete improvement initiatives and ensure that these are developed and implemented in collaboration with the business, end users, and business owners.
In addition, you prepare decision-making documents and guide the decision-making process within core teams and toward management. You are able to clearly summarize complex information in memos and presentations and know how to get stakeholders on board with the proposed approach. Where necessary, you also support the team in preparing management reports based on Excel data. You identify discrepancies, ask the right probing questions of the region, and translate these insights into concrete improvement actions.
Your duties include:
You have strong analytical skills, know how to bring structure to complex issues, and are energized by implementing improvements. You move easily between strategy and execution and know how to engage various stakeholders in the change process. You feel at home in a dynamic environment where you conduct analyses independently and collaborate with the operations team.
