Team Leader Asset Registration
Start: as soon as possible
Hours: 32-40 hours
Location: Amsterdam & Duiven (minimum of 1 day in Duiven & Amsterdam)

Type: secondment or self-employed

We are looking for an experienced interim team leader for a temporary period. This role is intended as a replacement during the absence of the permanent team leader.

The energy transition is a complex challenge. It requires talent, different perspectives, and diverse skills. Because we are making the energy transition with everyone and for everyone.

At Alliander, we believe it is important that everyone feels welcome, valued, and safe. Inclusion in the workplace also leads to better decision-making and innovation within an organization. That is why we welcome everyone to our organization and believe that diverse and inclusive teams make our company better.

The energy transition is impossible without you as Team Leader Asset Registration.

The energy transition cannot happen without your role as Team Leader Asset Registration. As part of the Asset Registration (AR) teams within the Specials department of Large-Scale Consumption Reconstruction and Networks (GVRN), you will be working on the future of our energy grid. Together with your team and other team leaders, you will form the management framework and work on improving processes and digitization.

For your team, you are a coach who guides them in their knowledge and development and steers them towards achieving operational objectives (KPIs). In addition, you create a safe environment in which everyone can participate equally, be heard, and feel appreciated. You work closely with other Asset Registration Team Leaders, and together you form a close-knit management team. In your role, you take the lead and know how to connect your colleagues with each other in a positive way.

You contribute to a vision focused on digitization and data-driven working. You play an important role in collaborations with realization chains and colleagues from other departments to realize data improvement initiatives.

That's how you're doing it:

  • Managing a team of 20-25 employees within Asset Registration;
  • Achieving the objectives (KPIs) together with your team.
  • Collaborate with your team to manage workflows and operational processes.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements, including through digitization;
  • Contributing to strategic personnel planning;
  • Implementing strategic policy and changes within your team and the Asset Registration department.

You just make it more energetic

With your energy, you excel as Team Leader Asset Registration. You take responsibility and are accountable for it. You are results-oriented and put the interests of the organization before those of the team, and the interests of the team before those of the individual. You are also consistent and steadfast, coaching your team members toward their intended (development) goals and striving to create a work environment in which all employees feel valued, respected, and involved, regardless of their background, identity, or perspective. Your view of data allows you to bridge divergent interests and create support. You have a feel for operational management and implementing change, both in terms of processes, people, and automation. You are decisive in your decision-making and do not let yourself be thrown off course when circumstances change. You focus on achieving your team's operational objectives. You are also a coach for your team, guiding them in their knowledge and development.

Working on an organization that is future proof. You do that from your own strength and talent. And you do it with us. Will you contribute to that with your way of coaching? Super! Especially if you complement this with:

  • HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking;
  • At least 3 years of relevant management experience;
  • Knowledge of and experience with process optimization through digitization;
  • You are willing to develop yourself further in the world of asset registration and technology.

About the department

As Team Leader Asset Registration, you will work with the Asset Registration (AR) teams within the Specials department of the Large-Scale Consumption Reconstruction and Networks (GVRN) business unit. The Specials department consists of nine teams, five of which are Asset Registration teams.

The Asset Registration teams are responsible for processing (geographical) station, cable, and pipeline information in our Geographic Information System (GIS). Our GIS system stores all our cable, pipeline, and station information so that all colleagues know where our assets are located and so that we can rely on this information. The Asset Registration teams play a crucial role in improving change processes, automation, and improving and safeguarding data quality. Due to ongoing digitization and developments within and outside Alliander, Asset Registration has developed its vision on this and is in the process of equipping itself for these developments. All of this has an impact on people, organization, processes, and systems.

You complete the grid at Alliander

Did you know that at Alliander we are made up of several companies? Together with Liander, Qirion, Qterra, Dep and Entrnce, we develop and manage the energy network for millions of residents in the Netherlands. And with the current energy transition, that's hard work. We do this with the help of over 8,000 professionals. Thanks to these talents, we have full confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we will make it possible.

And you will be doing that at our Liander business unit. Here, you will be jointly responsible for the management and maintenance of energy networks such as electricity and gas. This is how we supply energy to households, businesses, and other customers. Monitoring our energy network is only possible if you have enough energy. And the right working environment gives you that. So it has to be worthwhile. The Specials department consists of committed and honest colleagues who will work with you on this important task.

If you are a self-employed person, you will have the following performance obligations:

  • increasing the employee satisfaction barometer
  • increasing employee productivity by 10% across all different workflows
  • A MyEnergyPlan for all internal employees and a performance dialogue for all external employees, recorded in writing. Partly based on the department plan and team plan.
