We are looking for a Senior team leader. This is a short assignment, as we are also recruiting internally. Because this is a short period the focus will be on managing the team, there is no expectation of improving the substantive processes.

As Team Leader Engineering Architecture and Tertiary Installations West (BTI West) in Amsterdam, you will lead a knowledge-intensive team working on energy transition. With your energy you will make an impact in the expansion and maintenance of the electricity network. Together with you we will ensure that the Netherlands can continue to use our energy network.-.

The energy transition is impossible without you as Team Leader Engineering BTI West

As Team Leader Engineering BTI West, you will be part of the Engineering, Space & Law department and report to the Manager Rural Engineering. The department has teams that create designs for investment projects, maintenance and breakdowns for Liander and TenneT. Due to the energy transition, we have a lot of work to do and we are looking for you to manage this.

You will be responsible for developing your employees, supporting in the development of professional disciplines and developing the department as a whole. You will lead a team of 20 to 25 technical employees. New employees have recently been hired, so creating a good team dynamic and personal attention will be extra important in the coming period. In doing so, you will work closely with your fellow team leaders to fill out the work package and you will ensure the deployment of external parties where necessary.

Together with your team and chain partners, you are responsible for delivering designs, preparing recommendations and supervising realization. Good coordination with the other engineering teams is essential for this. You are able, even when things get tense, to have the right conversation and thus maintain the relationships, and, where necessary, come to solutions together.

Within the Engineering, Space & Law department, you will work on strategic themes with the other team leaders. Your challenge is to work with your fellow team leaders in the department and in the region to optimize overall operations. You are part of improving the department with your input.
