Job description overview
The position of Electrical Supervisor is part of the Supervisor job series. The Supervisor works within Alliander's implementation chains and therefore has a direct impact on the experience of customers and end users in terms of the safety, continuity, and quality of the energy supply. Supervisors can be assigned to various tasks and may also have the role of Work Supervisor. The number of projects can vary. Depending on the scope, this can range from one or a few large projects to 20 smaller projects per day. The position revolves around (if applicable)
on call and on standby duty (during and/or outside office hours).

The Contractor is responsible for the management and successful completion of
technical and/or civil assignments at project locations and provides functional/operational management to the relevant (internal and external) professionals. The Supervisor prepares work, coordinates the main points, and consults with all relevant parties (team/site/project manager). The Supervisor ensures that the work is carried out in accordance with the relevant (safety) requirements and guidelines.

Characteristics: All-round and skilled performer in more complex assignments, prescriptive and advisory. Teacher/mentor. Available for on-call and emergency service outside office hours.

Knowledge and experience:
- Minimum MBO+ working and thinking level
- At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience as a supervisor in multiple and diverse specialist areas.
- Has a good understanding of the interrelationship between the various aspects of an assignment

    The Electrical Supervisor within the Supervisor job series has the following result areas:
    1. Preparing work
    a. Preparing the implementation of work plans, providing a realistic schedule so that they can be carried out safely and in accordance with the agreements made.
    2. Ensuring safety
    a. Ensuring safety during the execution of assigned tasks; compliance with the relevant regulations and procedures, including with regard to the required instructions and authorizations.
    b. Contributing to increasing the safety awareness of internal and external colleagues.
    3. Coordination of technical work
    a. Completion of the work according to schedule and quality and safety requirements.
    b. Clear and effective communication with and management of colleagues and external parties with regard to the execution of the work.
    c. Constructive and goal-oriented cooperation during execution.
    4. Evaluating and monitoring work
    a. Timely adjustment of the work if necessary.
    b. Useful project evaluation and reporting, complete and shared with those involved.
    5. Maintaining contacts
    a. All parties involved are properly informed and, if necessary, coordination has taken place.
    b. Parties involved are informed in a timely manner of the progress of the work and any details.
    6. Coaching and training colleagues
    a. Transfer of relevant knowledge to colleagues.
    b. Effective feedback discussions and follow-up.
    7. Work supervisor (designation in accordance with BEI/VIAG/if applicable)
    a. Carrying out the work in compliance with all applicable guidelines.

    Difficulty of the work:
    - Independently supervises multiple jobs/teams simultaneously with larger teams (>8 team members).
    - Leads the execution of generally more complex projects at LS/MS, LD/HD or OV with a large project scope (euros), greater reach and risk of damage.
    - In the event of emergencies/deviations/malfunctions, independently analyses the (network) situation (and/or safety) with little to no fallback option.
    - Has an overview of the entire project and thinks proactively about risks and quality.
    - Monitors and maintains chain planning, identifies bottlenecks in a timely manner.

    Decision-making authority:
    - Independently consults on technical aspects, in preparation and in the event of deviations, and anticipates risks and opportunities.
    - Makes the right choice for a particular approach (and costs) in the event of unforeseen (complex) work, requests, or disruptions. Coordinates if necessary.
    - If WV: advises on measures to be taken and sanctions in the event of safety risks.

    Nature and purpose of the contacts:
    - Conducts substantive (preparatory) consultations with relevant parties (such as municipalities),
    - Contacts internal and external parties with diverse interests.
    - Resolves emergencies/sensitive situations. If necessary, with the support of the D/Team Leader.
    - Is able to professionally communicate and monitor Alliander's position.
