Work Planner (High-Rise Construction)

As a Combi High-Rise Work Planner in Amsterdam, you’ll ensure that the lights go on and stay on in people’s homes. Your work is varied; you’ll handle the design and provide advice on large-scale new construction projects and complex projects in existing buildings. You’ll do this together with your colleagues for approximately 150,000 different customers. This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week. You’ll help make the grid more sustainable at Alliander.

The energy transition is impossible without you as a Work Planner.

Accurate and timely preparation of applications from private individuals, construction companies, and/or project developers. In addition, you’ll collaborate with utility companies, water utilities, and contractors. Your projects? They range from large-scale new-construction apartment complexes and renovations of existing buildings to complex projects in the heart of Amsterdam. These are all the types of challenges you’ll tackle. When technicians have questions, you’re the first person they turn to. And, of course, you’re always present at important meetings. We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as a work planner, you’ll be a key part of this effort. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Making the technical design, grid calculations and determining routes.
  • Contact customers about the requests they have made.
  • Assisting project developers with large-scale new construction projects.
  • On-site inspections for complex applications.
  • Coordinate planning and execution with clients, contractors and municipalities.
  • Checking the contractor's extra work after completing his work.
  • Helping colleagues and mechanics with questions.

You'll help make Alliander even better.

Did you know that Alliander consists of different companies working together to create a reliable and future-proof energy network? With a large club of professionals, we develop and manage the energy network for millions of residents and entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with an eye for the people who rely on us: our customers. And thanks to our talents, we have full confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands. Together with you, we make the energy transition possible, for and with our customers.

And you’ll be doing this at our Liander business unit. Here, you’ll work on the management, maintenance, or construction of our electricity and gas grids. Safety is always our top priority: you ensure safety in your daily work, and we make sure you have the support you need to do so. This is how we deliver energy safely and reliably to households, businesses, and our other customers.

You can only create smart designs if you have enough energy. And the right work environment gives you that. So it has to be worthwhile. The Amsterdam office is made up of friendly and knowledgeable colleagues. You’ll work together with the field supervisors and project managers toward the same goal. And you’ll support each other whenever possible. Your future colleague will tell you more about it here.

You’re no longer involved in every project from start to finish, but instead focus on the areas where you excel, such as customer contact, creating technical drawings, or other specialized tasks. This gives you a real opportunity to put your creativity and talents to work, in collaboration with a warm and friendly team.

You just make it more energetic.

Working with the latest techniques and innovations. You do that from your own strength and talent. And you do it with us. Will you contribute to this with your critical view? Sounds good! Especially if you complement this with:

  • An MBO-4 degree, preferably in engineering.
  • Experience with administrative work and technical drawings.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in work planning.
  • Experience in the industrial, infra-world, installation and construction sectors.
  • Customer focus comes naturally to you. You understand that everything we do ultimately impacts our customers, and you act accordingly.
