Role description and task arrangements

 
Instructional Designer / Trainer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Designer (ID)/Trainer to join our team. This position is remote, flexible, and full-time. It can be filled from anywhere in the EU if you meet the required skills.  
In Phase one of the project, as an Instructional Designer, you will work with identified Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to isolate requirements and document use cases and process steps. You will design and develop training materials in a timely manner, such as:
  • eLearning Software Simulations in Articulate 360 Storyline.
  • eLearning Courses, interactive activities, and quizzes in Articulate 360 Storyline and Rise.
  • Documentation in Microsoft SharePoint.
In Phase two of the project, as a Trainer, you will lead online and in-person training sessions for groups of participants in Dutch and German, (French as optional).
What the day will look like - Phase one of the project (ID):
  • Meet with SMEs to document use cases and process steps.
  • Write documentation in SharePoint.
  • Develop training materials in Storyline and Rise from provided templates.
  • Develop software simulations and quizzes from provided templates.
  • Send work for Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Implement revisions from QA.
  • Do peer-to-peer QA of training materials developed by other team members.
What the day will look like - Phase two of the project:
  • Host Synchronous Training Sessions with participants.
  • Moderate Microsoft Teams teams which are organized for participants.
  • Provide one-on-one support sessions for participants.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Instructional Designer.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Trainer.
  • Experience delivering training online as well as in-person.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Familiar with learning management systems and eLearning platforms.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and German.
Optional:
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience with Adobe products.
  • Experience in creating software simulations and quizzes.
  • Proficiency in French an asset.
Key Attributes:
  • Diligent worker and ability to develop high-quality materials on or before due dates.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to escalate problems.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of an International Program for a suite of new software tools. These will be rolled out to colleagues globally, starting in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Germany. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of training expertise, technical skills, and exceptional communication skills to drive successful outcomes.
