UAT Test Analyst – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst with 5+ years of experience in the insurance and/or financial services sector to support the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across multiple applications and solutions for an international IT program. The ideal candidate will possess strong test analysis and design expertise, experience with modern delivery methodologies (e.g., agile, iterative), and proven stakeholder management skills. They will be experienced in supporting global business teams to ensure UAT is planned, executed, and reported effectively, and that solutions meet real business needs.
This is a hybrid role, giving you the flexibility to work from home and visit our offices to meet with colleagues at the moments that matter.

What the day will look like.

As part of the Business Testing Team, you will work closely with UAT Test Managers and report to the Business Test Lead.

You will be responsible for:

Test Design & UAT Support
  • Reviewing and analyzing the test basis (e.g., requirements, user stories, user flows, data models, specifications) for testability.
  • Deriving test conditions, test cases, and test scenarios from the agreed test basis.
  • Performing test analysis for multiple applications and solutions in parallel, ensuring coverage and consistency across the end-to-end landscape.
  • Contributing to the design and maintenance of test plans, test procedures, and supporting processes aligned with the goals of the international program.
  • Supporting UAT activities by working with UAT Test Managers and coordinating with cross-functional business teams to ensure testing aligns with business objectives.

Ways of Working & Test Practices
  • Working effectively within both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies, adapting your testing approach to project needs and governance.
  • Able to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving program environment, where plans and strategies may pivot frequently, requiring a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
  • Promoting best practices in test analysis and design, test execution, and defect management across business testing teams.

Support to Business SME Testing Teams
  • Supporting and motivating country-aligned business SME testing teams, fostering a collaborative environment so they can deliver testing to their full potential to ensure that the solution meets real business needs.
  • Providing mentoring, guidance, and training to business SMEs to promote good practice and continuous improvement with UAT. This may occasionally require in-person support and travel within EMEA.

Tools & Test Enablement
  • Using appropriate testing tools and technologies to support test execution and defect management.
  • Contributing to the implementation and adoption of new tools or tool upgrades to enhance testing capabilities.

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Preparing and delivering clear, concise, and accurate test progress updates for the Business Test Lead, UAT Managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe on an infrequent basis to support key meetings or testing activities.

Skills and experience that will lead to success.

  • 5+ years of experience in test execution or related testing roles within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong experience of working within User Acceptance Test phases, coaching and guiding Business SMEs to conduct structured testing.
  • Proven expertise in executing tests within both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to motivate and support global business teams working to demanding testing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with inexperienced business test teams and technical subject matter experts to support effective testing.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (or equivalent)
  • Self-motivated and driven, able to deliver assigned work with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in English; additional fluency in Dutch, French, German, or Spanish is an advantage. (Location can be NL, FR, BE, SP)
  • Excellent written skills, including authoring and reviewing test artifacts and documentation.
  • A strong team player, able to build and maintain trust at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Attributes
Testing Competency: Able to contribute to testing approach and direction within a complex and fast-moving testing environment.
Pragmatic Problem Solver: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and frequent change, using practical, creative solutions to keep testing moving forward.
Collaborative Approach: Skilled at fostering collaboration and teamwork across globally dispersed technical delivery teams and business stakeholders.
Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic, sometimes unstructured environment, and remains flexible in adopting new tools, processes, methods, and methodologies.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Test Analyst to support UAT activities on an international scale within Aon, an insurance market leader. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical testing expertise, stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality testing outcomes in challenging environments.
