Applications Analyst and Developer – Contract
 
We are seeking a talented and experienced Applications Analyst and Developer to join our Belgian team for a significant role supporting a major ecosystem modernization program. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the operational support, development, and deployment of applications and systems for Belgium, ensuring alignment with business objectives and seamless integration for the commercial risk business.

What the day will look like.
 
Reporting to the Belgium leadership team, you will be responsible for:
 
  • Relationship management working directly with colleagues in country to understand their processes and requirements - functional and non-functional.
  • Analyzing the local processes and requirements to then assist in the development of global processes and solutions.
  • Producing a range of Business and Application Analysis.
  • Liaising with Product Owners and Solution Architects to ensure the development of applications supports the Belgium business.
  • Performing application development and support to ensure Belgium operations are stable, secure, and strategically aligned.
  • This role may involve occasional travel within EMEA and possibly APAC.

  • EExperience with insurance projects – knowledge of insurance concepts and terminology.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with leading business and technical subject matter experts.
  • Flexibility to work with diverse teams from different countries and cultures.
  • Exercise curiosity to influence decisions such that they align with Belgium's business strategy.
  • Self-motivated and able to take leadership on areas of work assigned.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" solution but equally drill down to low-level detail when required.
  • Strong Applications analysis, software development s skills and analytical ability to understand complex subjects and transfer that knowledge into required deliverables.
  • Experience in producing a range of application analysis outputs including, but not limited to, business requirements, business process diagrams, use case diagrams, user stories, and user journeys.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to maintain trust at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and application analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
