Role description and task arrangements
Who we are.
The principal for the Improving VHR Monitoring Program (VVM) is the Steering Committee on Nature Monitoring and Information with participants on behalf of the ministries of LVVN, IenW, Defense and the cooperating provinces. BIJ12 is contractor of the VVM program . Herein work is being done on necessary and urgent improvements in the national system of nature monitoring, information facilities and reporting. The program management is carried out by a program team. In total, the program team now consists of 22 colleagues.The activities in this program are organized along three substantive program lines arising from the various forms of monitoring: Nature Measures, Environmental Conditions and lastly Target Reach for which the requested project leader is co-leader. There are four projects under Target Reach each with a product owner or project leader and a team consisting of representatives from the partners and possibly hired experts. You will assist one of these teams. The project for which this icontent advisor is being recruited is called vegetation type & habitat type mapping.
What you will do
As content advisor vegetation type and habitat type mapping, you will take the lead in improving the vegetation protocol and methodology document. A project leader will also be recruited for the process supervision of the entire project which is somewhat broader, with whom you will work closely. You are responsible for substantive progress and a connector to other experts and organizations that have an opinion on the products. Based on your experience, you make substantive proposals for improvement and ensure coordination with the organizations involved. You also approach people from your extensive network to give their opinions and help shape any knowledge session. You will be working under the direction of the project leader Target Reach.
The candidate we are looking for possesses:
- HBO/WO working and thinking level
- At least 5 years of demonstrable work experience in conducting vegetation mapping, preparing reports of such mapping and translating vegetation mapping into habitat type maps
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in habitat type map validation
- Preferably experience with nature (law) related projects and supervision of clients.
- You have a good understanding of the problems and ambiguities that (may) play a role in practice in the creation of habitat type maps.
- You have excellent landscape ecology knowledge.
- You provide substantive input and see consistency with adjacent programs and projects.
Number of hours per week: 12 - 24 hours (partly on location at BIJ12 office in Utrecht, partly at home).
Renewal options of 2 times 12 months.
Renewal is on otherwise equal contractual terms (including hourly rate).
