Role description and task arrangements

About the team
Within the National Information Point (20 colleagues) of BIJ12 you are part of the Help Desk (8 colleagues). The Loket supports a number of projects within the green domain with telephone and written support questions. One of the projects is the National database Flora and Fauna (NDFF). There are also other projects, such as Fauna Affairs. Hierarchically, the National Information Point falls under the unit Expertiseteam Stikstof & Natura 2000, which is one of the 4 units within BIJ12. BIJ12 employs enthusiastic and motivated staff. Professionalism and an open, friendly working atmosphere are very important to us.

This is what you will do
As employee of the BIJ12 desk you are interested in the green domain and you are the contact for questions from external relations of BIJ12 about the various topics within this green domain. Our external relations are employees of provinces, farmers, but for example also the press. Questions are asked both by phone and in writing (often by e-mail) and are diverse in nature. Primarily you will answer questions about Fauna damage and wolf damage. These are for example questions about the use of the online portal MijnFaunazaken where farmers report their fauna damage. For example, reporters want to know the status of their application. You may eventually start answering questions for other projects as well. It is your job to find out the exact question and provide it with the right response. When necessary, you direct the question to (a) substantive expert(s) within BIJ12. The desk periodically consults with these experts in order to have the most up-to-date knowledge. Of course you record all customer questions accurately in the registration system TOPdesk and monitor the actions and agreements with the client. In addition to answering specific questions, you will analyze questions and responses and make suggestions for improvement. If necessary, you also make proposals for improvement of the BIJ12 website. Together with the team you report on goals and achieved results, for example to your manager.

This is you
You are service-oriented, customer-oriented, friendly, patient and helpful and you can handle emotions and stress well. You have an interest in the green field. You enjoy immersing yourself in multiple topics and you can quickly switch between those different topics and activities. You work independently, but enjoy being part of a team that gets the job done together. Together with your colleagues you ensure optimal accessibility of the BIJ12 office. Furthermore, you have an eye for quality and details and you can plan and organize your work well.

Furthermore, you have:
  • MBO+ working and thinking level;
  • Global knowledge of BIJ12's focus areas (preferred);
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both oral and written;
  • Experience as a help desk assistant and answering or routing telephone and written inquiries;
